 Today was one of those great midwinter days (64 degrees) that we sometimes get in Northeast Oklahoma. I took the opportunity to get "Jewel" out of the garage and make about 140 mile jaunt around this part of Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. It was the first time I have had a good chance to sport the NM wheels around. I must say the drive was intoxicating as we have some really fun, twisty roads in this part of the country. One problem is that I often caught myself doing 80 mph without really realizing it (these cars seem to naturally settle out at about that speed). :pbj: :pbj:
Stopped in a Barnes & Noble in Fayetteville, Ark and found the the "Thunderbird Chronicles" book on the 75% off rack!! Needless to say I didn't hesitate at $6.25. Went into a Hobby Lobby and found the new '56 Thunderbird Muscle Machines in black and white. Needed them to add to the red and yellow ones I already have, so they came home with me, too.
I took a few pictures of the car and one of the Muscle Machines to share with you. Hope you enjoy them just 1/1000th as much as I enjoyed the day.
