The famous Woodward Dream Cruise is this Saturday August 20th and people are already starting to cruise Woodward in anticipation of the big day. This is no longer a one day event, cars will be cruisn' all week long. We were down there last night with 4 other cars and it was a zoo.. Tons of beautiful cars parked and lots of people watching and enjoying the beautiful evening. This will happen every night this week. For those of you on Woodward Saturday, stop and say hi, we'll be parked at the Bennigans at Woodward and Long Lake. This spot has been set aside for the American Road Thunderbird Club who has invited the Water Wonderland group to join them in the fun. Hope to see some of you there!

Dennis, Are you planning on parking at Bennigans on Saturday? Do you know if there are any crossover streets that will be open on Woodward? The weather is still looking "iffy" I won't go down there in the rain.

I planned on going to Birmingham then to my brother's house a block south of 11 Mile Road backing up to Woodward for the annual Dream Cruise bash. This is the house I grew up in so I cruised Woodward as a teenager when it was a nightly event. I will try to get up to the Thunderbird gathering. Maybe we will start there and make our way south. Let's keep our fingers crossed that we don't get the severe thunderstorms that they are predicting.

Ken, Its a fantastic event, you and Brenda should plan a trip around it, we'll show you a good time.
The weather didn't co-operate this morning, we had bad rain and thunder so, no cruisn for us. It's just started to clear a bit but, you still have the puddles to contend with, and more rain is expected by this afternoon. I'm sure it didn't stop the die hard cruisers though. I got a note from Dennis (GoldenT) this morning, he cruised with 2 other birds last night, and it took him 1 1/2 hours just to go one mile. It's a virtual parking lot out there! Wait, I see some sun, I better get the bird uncovered and head out....

Dennis,
I'm glad you didn't bother to make it all the way to Square Lake because, with all the rain, we decided not to go. Just as I thought it was clear, another down pour would start up. There were several of our club that did brave the weather though. Hope you had fun checking out all the beautiful rides.
