Happy Labor Day to all the Florida T Birds!
Perhaps there are many of us this year who will forego a lengthy cruise tomorrow because of the current price of fuel. However, there are other ways to celebrate the holiday. (You might even chose to detail your bird instead of driving it tomorrow.)
PLease seriously consider a donation to the charity of your choice hurricane disaster relief efforts. There are many in addition to the two large ones advertized on TV which guarantee that every dollar will be used in direct assistance for the victims. I know because I worked for one for 40 years. Check the list in the local newspapers. Select the one that you feel best about. Your gift DOES make a difference.
Last year, when the hurricanes swept through Florida, our local T Bird cruise group here quietly helped a TBN member in Florida who lost his business. Nothing felt better than seeing our gifts help him recover and re-open his business.
Set aside the politics and the critical remarks. Be an instrument of recovery. Do not contribute to the problem with criticism, complaints and Monday morning quaterbacking. Be part of the WINNING team in responding to this tragedy. 'Nuf said.
