It's fall, We need to plan on a get together on the west coast, Can anyone think of something we could do for a nice day trip?

We are on the Florida Treasure Coast and are also interested in an event. Knowing it is summer now (June '07) I realize the heat gets high, but a top down road trip is just what the doctor ordred.

Anyone have anything to offer? Maybe a weekend destination?
