...LyleH. Lyle is from our hometown and also owns a beautiful torch red bird (his just happens to be an '03 with white top). While we haven't met face to face, Lyle and I have been conversing via email for a few weeks.

Lyle, glad to see you have finally had a chance to post. Don't be shy, just hop on in. Everyone is friendly here. We still have to get together - I've just been too darn busy with work and now we are packing to move into a new house. I did see a glimpse of your car the other day and I have been hearing from folks they have seen it around town.

Didn't think about Tahlequah ending up with 3 red birds when I got ours in November 2001.

Anyway, WELCOME to the nest.

Welcome, LyleH. I saw your picture. Paul can tell you that I think you picked the right color combination. But I am like Paul, I can not believe 3 Red birds in that small town. Red and White is :smokin:

Thanks for all of the comments. As I understand it from Paul Thomas, we have about 4 T-Birds in and around a town of less than 12,000. There are three red birds (including my 03) and one white. Two weeks ago I drove into a gas station to fuel up and in drove the white one on the opposite pump. She and I agreed that it is not likely that two T-Birds come to the same station at exactly the same time. She assured me that she "loved" her car. I have 1,500 miles on mine and have found no serious problems except that I cannot get the soft top to close yet (took the hard top off last weekend). Any sugestions? I have never had a car that attracts as much attention as this one.

LuleH - There are several suggestions on getting your top closed on the threads you started on that topic. Sticking to one topic on one thread helps eliminate confusion and duplicate entries. Re-visit your original thread (http://www.thunderbirdnest.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=16552#post16552) to see what was posted. :nono:

you are right about that lyleh. on non-tbird forums i get worse comments on the bird but when i take it for a drive the attention is good only because now people give you way to pass in a traffic jam when you hit the turn signals
