ford plant visit

I have a new bird on order, Does anyone know how I can find out when it is being built, and if Ford will let me go to the Wixom plant and see it on the assembly line. Will they let you take pictures?

then do a search on "Dave Davis" on this site and you'll come up with more threads about touring the plant.

I do not know if Dave is still hosting the tours or if Ford has discontinued them yet but give the number a try that's posted in that thread.

They allow photos to be taken but they can not be posted on the web.

Hope you do get to take the tour as those who havewill tell it's a great experience.

Like 5bird7 said contact Dave Davis. Once you have a VIN he can tell you when it would be a good time to visit (assuming that they are still doing tours). I saw my car on the assembly line and that was about the neatest thing that I have ever seen. I was able to take pictures, but only with permission.

I just saw on the BON that the Wixom Plant will be closed the week of 4/7 and 5/14 for the Thunderbird. Just thought you should know if you are planning a trip.
