:puzzled:Can anyone tell me what was involved in and the difference between the Thunderbird Collection and the Manage the wait program? I always thought they were one and the same.

Manage the Wait - cancelled before it even got underway sometime back in January or February of 2001 - it was a "freebie" from Ford, ie, all the dealer had to do was place a customer's order. No more sign up was expected. We don't know what was to be sent since nothing ever was.

Thunderbird Collection - came on line in May 2001 - Dealer had to "buy" into this program ($49/per customer order) Ford apparently thought this would be a more accurate way of getting real customer names from the dealers.
This collection consisted of 5 mailings which included a book in each plus a "signed" letter from your dealer and some memorabilia.
the collection is described with picture links on one of my memorabilia pages.

Dot, Thanks for clearing that up for me! My dealer said Ford was going to send me something but, that must have been with the Manage the wait program that was cancelled and I was never put in the Ford Collection group. I would have gladly paid the $49 myself just to get the stuff.

Found this old thread.... Can anyone help?

I am looking for blue clings for box #2 of the Thunderbird Collection that Ford sent to first people who ordered the 2002 Thunderbird. I have a black cling set that I can trade you for a blue one or I am willing to purchase the whole box.
