Just got back from vacation over in the Washington, D.C. area. Had a great time. Primary reason to go was the National Taurus SHO Convention (my '93 won the Popular Vote Best of SHOw Award ). Over 13 days, 13 states and 2800 miles only saw three 2002 T-birds - a yellow one around Lexington, KY, a blue one in Baltimore, MD, and a black one on a FORD lot in Hagerstown, MD.

One thing I did see, that others may be interested in, is a new book titled "Thunderbird Chronicles" at both Borders and Barnes and Noble. The cover is black with each of the Thunderbird logos that have been used over the years centered vertically down the front of it. It was $24.95 at both places. I decided to waitto get it, since I was spending money left and right already for food, hotels, sight seeing, etc.

While we were gone, I had the T-bird at the dealership getting a few things done. Had the oil changed, the x supports checked and torqued, the chrome bezel installed (looks great on the red bird!), a rock chip that was on the car when I got it repaired, seat belt recall done and floor mats ordered. After they got everything done, they put the car on the showroom floor till we were able to pick it up today! It sure felt great to drive her home.

Joy,

Yes, the SHO convention was in Frederick. There were several really nice red ones. What is your brother's name? I'll bet I know him by face or name. Small world! He will probably know who I am, too. Ask him if he knows Paul Thomas from Oklahoma. I'm sure he will if he came to the convention in Oklahoma last year.

The SHO conventions are great. We have friends from all over North America because of them. I think the Thunderbird Destination outing this fall will do the same for our Thunderbird group. I can't wait to put some faces and names together.
