Pacific Northwest. If you look carefully, Mt Hood is in the background.

The Ol` Tea Pot Service Station
The Teapot Dome Service Station was built on State Highway 12 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Route_12_%28Washington%29#Washington) in 1922 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1922). The building has a circular frame with a conical roof, sheet metal "handle," and a concrete "spout." The station was intended to be a reminder of the Teapot Dome Scandal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teapot_Dome_Scandal) that rocked the presidency of Warren G. Harding (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_G._Harding) and sent Interior Secretary Albert Fall (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Fall) to prison for his role in leasing government oil reserves in, among other places, Teapot Dome, Wyoming. The unique service station continued operation as a full service (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_service) gas station[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teapot_Dome_Service_Station#_note-1) for some years. When Interstate 82 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_82) was constructed near Zillah, the station was relocated less than a mile down the Yakima Valley Highway (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Yakima_Valley_Highway&action=edit). It is no longer in operation.

First I’d like to thank all the members involved in the voting for selecting my photo for the T-Bird of the Month.. I know this is never an easy choice for someone to select only one car out of a group of many beautiful cars. I think this is the first time I’ve ever won in any contest I have entered and think now I’ll go out and buy a lotto ticket. Again ,thanks a lot..
