I usually make this one. The Palestine Car Club donates the proceeds to a charity, or a scholarship recipient. They run a really good show.
Doug, Susie and I were talking about it today. They entered thier green F100 Ford truck last year. We both brought home trophies.

Sally,
Thanks for the info. I will be in Poynor that weekend so I will try to go see all the cars, although I won't be able to drive my T-bird there.

That's great Mark! I'm looking forward to meeting you, and hopefully Dot and George, and other members will be there, too!
What brings you to Poyner? It's a shame you can't bring your Bird, if you're not going to stay most of the day in Palestine, don't forget the 49th Tyler Azalea Trails will be in full swing. If E TX doesn't get too much rain, and it doesn't freeze, it will be an absolutely gorgeous topless drive thru the dogwood and azaleas!
Here's a link to the Tyler Azalea Trails...lt has some beautiful screensavers, too!

Sally,
Well, I'll actually be in Fincastle which is kind of a "suburb" of Poynor. We have family there so we try to go there fairly often. My T-bird won't be there this time because it won't carry 4 people like my Expedition will, but I'd sure like to see other T-birds to pick up some pointers.

I'll be going in the Inca but George will stay home - had an injury on Sunday and he's not moving around much for the rest of the week.

I' had planned on attending, but we are having Easter for Deb's family at our house on Sunday, and it would be a bit hectic to make the trip and get ready for Easter. Going to be a big Easter as we should have between 40-50 people here....

I'm so sorry you can't make it Darrell!
Just watched the weather for Palestine Saturday...
Sunny, a few clouds, low 70's...DRY!!...what could be better??
Dot and I are going to be at the Show, or the Street Fair from 10 - 3. We're both taking our New Birds
Y'all come see us!
Even if you don't do the Show, there's a lot going on. It's not just a great car show and a Street Fair downtown.
There's the "Old Town" area" with quaint shops, live gun fights with cowboys in Period dress and a Saloon, just down the road a bit, and Palestine has more historical architecture than almost any Texas town (except Galveston). The Courthouse is gorgeous!! Go for a ride on the Steam Locomotive Train to Rusk, and back, or just take some great pics of you, the family and your Bird, if you drive it. I mentioned the Dogwood Trails...200 acres of beautiful winding forest, and lots of park area. There are SO many photo ops in this town it's incredible!

Okay Dot...the cat's out of the bag
Dot won First in Class, over the Charger! :first:
Show us your plaque Dot!
Mark (Black Bengal) it was GREAT to meet you, your son, and Billy! Dot and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
Barb, thanks so much for sending us an Easter Treat...he wasn't a chocolate marshmallow candy...he was a local Cowboy Candy named BearCat! The generosity of some members of this site is "overwhelming!"
The day flew by, we hardly had time for the Street Fair and lunch.
I hope more of you will make plans to join us next year.
Mark your computer calendars now for
