I noticed a lot of old polls popping up when I do a quick link to todays posts?????????

BlckmustngGT just gave me an explanation.
new feature randomly selects open polls in our forums and posts them on the homepage in a new slot on that page. Once posted on the homepage, someone new comes along and takes the poll, not knowing they're polling an old poll and that brings it to the top of the "today's posts"

Feature doesn't select closed polls. The Justins are closing them as needed when they see them which can take some time as the Justins aren't on all the time.

This'll just remind me to make polls that will automatically close after a certain time so we don't have to put up with this all the time.

I was wondering why all those old polls were popping up, even sent a PM to Gobird since he has all those alien connections. Thanks for the explanation.

Maybe we need to start specifying the month AND year on these polls, and like someone said, maybe close them a couple of months after the month ends?
