I just noticed that we had the most members logged-in so far on this forum today. I see that 149 members logged-in today! That's great!

I used to spend a lot of time on other car boards, even Lincoln forums, but they are all over run with trolls. Foul mouthed, mine's faster than your's and I know everything types.

The kidding on this forum is civilized and usually carries a grain of wisdom or insight about our beloved vehicles. Besides, we are not very anonymous here. Somebody knows somebody else so don't mess with the members.

Like I've said before, I worked for Ford Motor Company for 32 years and found out more on this site than I have from my old internal contacts.

If you want to know how bad some boards can get, search "Camaro forum" some time (ok - even Mustang Forum). Total waste of time and energy.

This forum will continue to grow. We all care and welcome new owners to the family.

Being one of the "kidders" here, I know everyone realizes it's all in jest and that we all really do get along. This forum is the BEST....bar none.

I love geing able to find out about my car, events, maintenance, and everything else. This is the most active and the most informative forum there is for the Tbird.

Thanks for the comments everyone. We would also like to point out that we are hitting insane numbers in the posting section as well. Over 215 posts in the last 24 hours. It was just this morning that we hit 20,000 posts. Very nice!

Yes, it seems we are close to hitting some sort of critical mass thing. Last night when I was on the site, I could barely keep up with reading posts...everytime I sent a post, there were other new posts. I guess at some point we may have to be more choosy about which posts to review to save time. I suppose we could skip all of DavidA's:lol:

I had been gone for about maybe 9 months before I was able to get back, not at the rate that I used to post at but at least back. Boy things changed in that time. I thought we had a good thing then but it has just gotten alot better.

Is that 185 different viewers or are repeat visitors the same day counted twice?

It should be different viewers, but a combination of both members and guests.

However, if you log in from 2 different computers, say your home then office, you might be counted twice. :smokin:

Actually no, :biggrin: The 207 that were on yesterday were individual members. This forum keeps track of different ips for different users, etc... so it wont count you twice. When it says 207 that means that 207 individual MEMBERS not guests were on today.

Now i think i know where you are getting confused. There is another number that is counted and that is the amount of viewers at ONE TIME. This does count guests and members together as long as they are on at the same time. Please dont confuse either of these with page views and hits because the site receives THOUSANDS on a daily basis.

By the way this is amazing... our previous record before yesterday was 153 on in one day. Insane.

I too have to admit this is the best forum I belong to. The BMW forum got so bad that I just stopped wasting my time. Im glad im here! I have noticed that if you have a rare and unique and quality automobile. The owners are just the same. I have owned many cars but none has evoked such a passion in me.
