Hi, I am Skip M and I live in Tacoma WA.
I am 59, married and have seven daughters (four adopted) and one son
I work for Lockheed Martin at the C-130 flight simulator on McChord AFB and instruct C-130 aircrew members, I have been doing that since 1980.
I have owned two other T-Birds besides the 03 that I now have, a sky blue 61, and a metallic brown 78. Both were wonderful automobiles and I miss them very much.
The reason I am here is to glean as much good or bad, if the case may be, information about the new 02 and 03 T Birds. also NC2k2TBird sent me here, he figures that there is a lot more info here
After I received mine I was on my way from Tacoma, WA. To Morrisville MO. for my oldest granddaughter’s HS graduation, I headed East on I-90 to Sioux Falls where I then headed south on I-29, the weather was terrible on way down there but very good on the way back home,(the trip was a little over 5,800 miles and I never saw another T-Bird) you can see some of the pictures I took in the photo album area here, after I get them posted that is. The ugly thing on the dash is a Garmin Street pilot III, a very good quality GPS with several nice features including routing, moving map, speed info, the list goes on, anyway great toy, to bad the car shakes so much you can't always use it.
I will address that problem on another thread.
A Justin

Welcome to TBN! I unfortunately dont own a Thunderbird, but I know that you have stepped into the best place on the net to find out your information. Take advantage of the search button as tons of topics have been covered in the past. I dont think I remember one about a vibration however, but hope that we can get to the root of the problem with you and get it solved. We have tons of great knowledgeable members here, and hold events quite ofter that you may consider joining next time around. Check out the galleries (Events and Members), add your car to the registry, make your gallery, and have a great time!

Hi Skipife,
Welcome! The overload is so great here that many of us have to visit daily to keep up. :moreek: Lots of chatter and lots of info mixed in. Makes for fun reading. NC2k2... led you in the right direction.
Seems that there are several from Washington state on this board now. Bryan Sloop will probably try to contact you as he's trying to get some of you from Washington together for a mini event this summer. Bryan's from the Kelso area.

Welcome "SPIPIFE"!:wavey: We have quite a big Thunderbird family kind of thing going here...getting bigger every day!
There is a lot of old and new information to browse through, mostly regarding the 2002, 2003 and now the 2004 Thunderbird.
I have found that if you don't stay on top of the news here every day that it is difficult to catch up, as things lately have been quite busy here lately. We're averaging 100 new registered members every month now!
Glad to have you join us and thanks to "NC2k2Tbird" for referring you here.

I want to thank all for a warm welcome here, I can see that I won't have any trouble getting my questions answered at all.
Now, how about that gas we use:naughty:
couldn't resist that; use what you want but remember the book says 91 or higher, there is a reason for it, its called high compression, 10.75:1 on the 03's...oh I know the car will run just fine on 87 but that is due to the computer making several adjustments. One thing we all need to remember is that there is a differance in BTU's between 91 and 87, the higher 91 has more BTU's per gallon then the lower 87 does, probably not to much of a change in our T-Birds but enough for the car to notice after a while, especially when there is a carbon build up in the cylinder heads; I have seen this discussion on one of my MC newsgroups also...kinda like "what kind of oil should I use" heh heh
Bottom line use what you want:thumbsup:
hope I didn't break any rules here talking off topic:nono:

Skipife,
We have our gas threads here, too. same pros and cons. My husband & I use the 91 or better and wouldn't consider less unless we had no choice. Just do a search on gas and you'll see that we've had discussions about that and other gas related topics.
