I'm Ready

OK, I shampooed the carpets, polished the paint, changed the oil and filter, put two coats of rain-x on the windows, cleaned the engine compartment and filled up with hightest. I know I probably forgot something, but I'm ready to roll. Tommorrow morning Joybird and Gobird will be heading down I-81 for Atlanta and then off to Destin.:pbj::pbj::pbj: Look out, the Birds will be flying low. :thumbsup::naughty::pbj::pbj:

The NUDOS will be hanging onto the bumper.:smokin:

Gobird...

I'm working on mine...I waxed it last week, now I am working on the interior and top. I had the oil changed this morning and the x-braces tightened. I am getting pumped for this event! Oh yeah I got the gunnny sacks ready for the hunt too....ehhh...

I had to see if it would all fit.....so I've packed the trunk already.

It all fits....with no room to spare.

As I told my wife, "if it doesn't fit, you don't need it"

We are ready to roll.

We are leaving our house early Thurday AM and meeting up with Thunderbubba, DavidA, TBirdTim, KentB, and Gobird abd Joybird who are joining us from Pennsylvania.

We are meeting at an IHOP south of downtown Atlanta and then going on to Destin.

We will work all day Friday on all the details of the weekends events. Everything has come together wonderfully and we are looking forward to a great time.

I want to wash my car so badly but my husband (who I do listen to) ha ha says that by the time we reach destin, you would not be able to tell. It is just against my grain to leave for THE t-bird rally with a less than spotless car. He leaves for work early, I will scub it up! Can't wait to see all of you and your cars. (tr cruiser and Joanne, not too late, you could ride behind the seats, like in a parade (just do not sit down!!!!) We will miss all of those not with us!

You can't go wrong by cleaning the car up before you leave. It just makes refreshing it that much easier at Destin and you'll have more time there to tell stories.

"Jewel" is waxed, wiped and ready... Only one more day of work. Yeah, like they'll get a lot of work out of me tomorrow.

See everyone there. The Oklahoma-Arkansas-Texas Caravan pulls out bright (well, actually it will be dark) and early on Thursday morning.

I just got back from Huxford Alabama (about one hour NW of Destin). It rained all day and night Tuesday but broke off clear and sunny and cool. The TV stations on the gulf (Mobile and Pensicola) say the forecast through out the weekend will be clear to partly cloudy with highs in the middle 70's and lows in the mid 50's. Bring or buy a jacket for evenings but other than that you couldn't ask for better weather.:beer:
