I just bought my new T-bird on 6/6/03. I have been looking at the new T-birds since the photos started appearing in auto magazines, but waited until there was enough of a supply to stop the dealer price gouging. I got the coral colored Bond Edition.
Everyone who sees this car absolutely loves it. My friends all say it is the coolest car they have ever seen. When I drive, I see strangers craning their necks to look at the car. Have you all experienced this?
A friend of mine who saw the car, a few days later showed me a photo he took at a local car show. It was a '56 T-bird in Sunset Coral with a white top. The color looked just like my Bird.
The third day I owned it, I went to lunch at a local outside mall. I was seated at a table where there was a window where I could see the car. All through lunch it was so amusing to watch people gaze and stare at the car. Several people walked across the driveway so they could circle the car and look at it up close. One small SUV was driving down the isle, passed the car by about 30 feet, hit the brakes, put it in reverse and backed up next to the car. After about one minute of looking, he put it in forward and took off. Even another Sky Blue '03 T-bird driver slowed down to look at my Coral colored bird.
Everytime I drive the car, I see people turning and gawking. It is nice, in that it is confirming that the car is as beautiful is I believe it to be.
Is this what all new T-bird owners experience?
