:wavey: Greetings T-Birders from the State of Iowa, (Is this Heaven ?) We are Jim & Kay Hagarty. We are both retired and love it ! We Summer in our home State of Iowa, and Winter in Arizona. We love cruising in our 2002 T-Bird ! It has gone about 2500 miles so far, in Iowa, Minnesota, & Illinois. 26 M.P.G. at 70 M.P.H. on mid-grade reg. 90 octaine. Trying to figure out how to carry everything we need for Winter in Arizona ! Also wondering about a top-hoist for the garage ? Anybody carried people in a parade yet ? Please let us know how, if you have ! Kay is an excellent seamtress, and an award winning quilter. Jim is into Amateur Radio, and his ham callsign is: KD0QV. Any other "HAMS"
in this group ? Honk & wave if you see us out cruising. Jim & Kay

Welcome Jim and Kay,
I'm an Old Hawkeye fan from Bettendorf...now living in Scottsdale, AZ.
Even took a road trip back to the QC's in my Bird during the end of April. Most people don't realize what a paradise Iowa is, do they?
If you're over the top nuts, you'll fit right in with the other members. If you're not nuts, you will be infected very soon.  Enjoy!!!

Welcome to the Nest, Jim & Kay...
My mom was born and grew up in Ottumwa...have only been there once myself - summer time and thought I'd die from the humidity!
Glad you've found Arizona to your liking for the winters...us full-timers endure the heat of summer to bask in the Arizona winters.

jjaz, Nuts, who is Nuts, DavidA did you hear that? He's calling us Nuts. Well maybe DavidA is a little, he is still on his meds :naughty: and they only take him out when the sun is shining. He just keeps saying, I went my suster, I went my suster. We'er not sure what he means by this but we all try to be understanding with him.

Welcome Jim & Kay.
You'll find a lot of "good to know" information and a few "not good to know" people in here. I am also a new member and have already learned a lot about both my '62 and my Mom's '02. It takes a while to take it all in but it is worth every bit of your time.
Enjoy your new car and the drives back and forth to AZ!
