WHAT? You don't like the McDonald's car (red/yellow)? I can't believe that! :)

:sad:I don't think anything goes with the yellow except the factory colors. I do like most of the others, but leave the yellow top off all except the yellow car. The Micky De's car might look OK if Ronald Mc Donald was in the car.

I have the B/B, but kinda like the look of the white top on the blue. Also, don't think the black top on the yellow looks too bad, not to mention the red top on the black and the black top on the red. But as far as the yellow/blue combo...IMO that's a definite no go.

Seriously, I like the Black top on the Red car and the White Top on the blue car. I'm still not sure about the red on the black, but if I can get my hands on a red top, I'll buy it to have around. There's nothing like a change occasionally.:beer:

I'm still considering a red top on my white one, to bring out the red interior accent package.
Another idea that I thought that I might try if I had a second hardtop, was to have a whisper white padded vinyl hardtop?

Thought you should have a look at a red top on a white 57 - this is an award winning "F" car (means it has factory supercharger)- taken at the 1999 regional in Kansas.

I personally like the red hardtop on the white Thunderbird. Thanks for showing that photo of the '57 with the red top...it reinforces my thoughts.

:bawl: Ok, here is the perfect 2002 TBird. A really nice matalic PLUM paint job, padded white hard top with a heart shape in the back window with heart shaped LIGHTED port holes. THE PERFECT PIMPMOBILE:lol::lol: Now top that one.

Dot, I know you can do a lot with computers but how did you get a pic of a 2002 yellow bird in 1999?

I have two top both NM Silver.
I am leaning to put a moonroof in the second top for winters and the heat of summer.

gobird, Think about it - check out the number of spokes on the wheels of that 'bird and note that it is a slightly lighter shade than the 2002 - That was the original concept car - The Ford personnel liked how the show was hosted so well, and how we all admired the new 'bird that they even allowed some of us to sit in it.
We did have to be sneaky though to get some 57s parked next to it - they thought that was a bit too much considering Ford expected them to be taking care of the car while on the road. The concept was a pretty dear item at that time. I used to have that photo on my netscape site til Netscape moved things around last fall.

Dot, didn't look that close but now I see the wheels but the color is hard to tell on the web.

The outside mirrors are a giveaway also. Notice that car doesn't have the black trim around them that our "production" cars have.:fordsrule:

Also, it doesn't have the small side lights, and, if you really look at it closely, you can see that it's slightly lower and looks longer. The proportions are very slightly different than the production car.
