That was today wasn't it. I had planned on taking a long lunch and go over there for a little while but forgot it was today. I work Sundays about a mile north of 355 and north ave.

Keith,
Your parents sat at the next table and Sue and I spoke with them. They announced your Mom's birthday as it was in April (for April). :birthday:
They gave a presentation on judging cars (mock judging - Jeff Sneider's idea several years ago) to get ready for the big event in 2010. Paul Kirwan (BTW, he and Marge got married in March!) was also passing a sheet around for members to sign up to help with the upcoming shows in 2009; I'm helping him with Wheaton Towne Square Show in June.
There is also something planned by a Thunderbird group in Wisconsin this September in Door County which was announced and Sue and I may take the Bird up there for a few days to attend.
Mike
PS - I'm still looking forward to seeing your set of wheels this season!

Mike:
Will the club be hosting any Sunday shows? I work every Saturday. The group newsletter and my chat with Paul indicated nothing for Sundays.

Sorry Lou, you're out of luck for a Sunday show sponsored by Chicagoland Thunderbirds; they're all on Saturdays.
The Bloomington Rendevous judging is on a Sunday but that event is sponsored by the Land of Lincoln Thunderbirds (however, a large number of Chicagoland Thunderbird members attend - I plan to be there).

I'll shoot for the Rendezvous. Made it in 2005, missed the last three. Twice for weather.

not sure they closed it up sometime last spring i guess. i used to live like 5 blocks from there and was up there all the time. moved out here to the cornfields sw of joliet so i dont get back there much.
a little more detail on my 96, im in the process of making it a drag racing car. right now just making it roadworthy, had some issues with the brakes rusty lines dont hold brake fluid to well. had to run a new line to the rear. while im at it im upgrading the front brakes to a bigger dual piston caliper. and a line lock to help with the burnouts. i hope to take the car to the VTCI international in ohio, but there are going to be some mods done to it before then. we are planning on removing the fuel injection and going to a carb. edlebrock makes a carb intake for the 4.6L modular motor. along with an ignition box from MSD and then a nice C4 with a manual valvebody and i can get rid of the computer all together. its gonna be an interesting project, i dont know of anyone that has that setup in a tbird.
