Jim,
"Gurst gathering" is legal in all 50 states now. They taste delicious on the BBQ.

the3rdd - I am intestested in linking up. I am also looking for a location. However, this will be my first cruise there, so I really don't know the best locations. liesha is also working on gathering TBN people together. Perhaps you should PM him and coordinate. He was looking for someone to take the lead, so I was trying to help out, but I am across the state. If you are more familiar with the area and important considerations, please help out!! We are really looking forward to the event!

Gurst gathering is illegal only if you get caught. While at the Dream cruise you simply cannot get caught. Way too many people and cars of all types. I will be happy to help out in any way. When I was a youngster I raced my 67 mustang GT on the Ave. There is plenty to see and do. I go every year and usually park my truck between 12 and 13 mile and watch the cruise from the back with family and gursts. I will continue to try and find a spot we can park our cars at when not cruising.

I'm planning to be at the Revvin' With Ford party in down town Birmingham (near 15 mile, chene park). I'll be there Friday afternoon and evening and all day Saturday. I'll have the dusk rose 57 on display...please come visit.

For the Ford Chene park party. You have to park elswhere and walk in from Woodward...a short couple blocks. I think there is a large public parking garage another couple blocks north. also, last year, you could park at Seaholm High School (off southfield rd) and there were shuttles to Ford party and Woodward.

Are other members interested in meeting somewhere such as Bennigan's, to do the cruise together on Friday and/or Saturday? We just need to agree on a place and time.
the3rdd - any progress?
Steve - Could we also park at the Revvin' with Ford party? Can we still register to participate?

I have not been able to find a place that we can park on Saturday. I plan on crusing on Thursday and Friday and I am willing to meet on Friday eve if at all possible. I am attending the Team mustang event at the Ford HQ on Friday morning. I am told it is a nice event. After the bird my next love is the Stang. If anyone would like we could meat at bennigans and cruise Woodward on Friday night. is 6:00pm godd for anyone?

the3rdd - I love Mustangs as well, having owned 3 over the years. That would be fine with me. My Pal's Diner picture in the gallery was taken at a Mustang Club cruise night. They were very interested in the car and we really enjoyed the evening.
Any other cruisers willing to join in?

sorry, you cannot park at Revvin with Ford, in Chene Park. Assigned spaces were made from selection committee of past attendees, and I think limited to older models. You are MOST certainly welcome to come by and visit. Ford has wonderful entertainment and concessions (inexpensive) plus all the cool cars for window dressing. Public parking structure east of Woodward is a close walk, and shuttle service from Seaholm high on Southfield road.

The3rdd, Here I am! We will be at the Woodward Dream Cruise, and cruising all week with our Mustang Group. Even though we don't own one, we love them and all the activities they come up with so, we reciently joined the MOSEM club. They will be parking the day of the cruise by 9 mile in the parking lot of Witbeck appliance. It's a small lot and, just room enough for their group. Good luck on finding parking on Woodward for the cruise, it is next to impossible at this late date. Most clubs, etc. keep their same locations every year, and some also pay for the prime locations. I will check with them to see if I can find out any more regarding the Team Mustang event and cruise to Ferndale on Friday, and post here if I find out anything. This week, starting on the 8th, is the big Mustang Stampede taking place across the street from Ford World HQ, at the Hyatt Regency on the corner of Southfield Rd and Michigan Avenue. There will be judging, vendors, etc. going on all weekend.

Thanks, I will post any information I receive also. I know about the parking on saturday. I do not cruise on Saturday due to the traffic. In fact I usually sit in the back of my (parked near the IHOP) truck and watch. I do plan on cruising next week during the evenings in my Bird. I have not missed a Dream Cruise yet!

The only thing I've been able to find out about the Team Ford event can be read on the following site
http://forums.mustangworks.com
put woodward dream cruise in their search, and you'll find out everything you wanted to know about the event.
I know what you mean about Saturday at the cruise, its a zoo, we usually avoid it at all costs! We'll probably do most of our cruising during the week also. It was fun last year when part of the Route 66 group was in town, and we did a pre-cruise and ended up parking at 13 and Woodward. There was tr cruiser, ylo brd, joybird, and 03 007 all enjoying a beautiful fun filled evening.

 :naughty:  :nervous:
www.yellowmustangregistry.com is looking to get a L A R G E group out and about near "Mustang alley" between 11 and 12 mile. It is right besides the Mustang Drive in on Woodward where Ford is presenting the ' legends cars" including the 007 and NEW MUSTANG.
