Breakfast - Cruise - Car Show - Lunch - This Saturday

I know it's short notice, but meet us Saturday, May 30th if you are free...

9:30 am - Breakfast at Whataburger in Sherman. It's on the northbound Service Road to US 75 (Exit 63) north of the US75 & US82 Intersection in Sherman (North of Sam's Club).

10 am - Cruise from Sherman to Bonham - Route undetermined as yet. We'll take a concensus before departing. For better time we can take US 82 East. For more laid back cruising, we can take TX Hwy 56 (old US 82) through the small towns.

Lunch time and location to be determined, when everyone gets hungry and probably at one of the downtown eateries.

We'll break after lunch to go our separate ways. If you come from the Metroplex, you'll probably want to take TX Hwy. 121 back to McKinney. Due to work obligations Saturday evening I'll be leaving by about 2 or 3 pm.

Sounds like I could make this an all day affair for George & I. In the evening, there's a car show in Southlake at Johnny B's. Registration from 5-7pm with awards at 8:30pm. It's put on by the SVT club that put on the show last month in Frisco at the Ford dealership. $10/entry.
http://svtclubcruise.com/ I know that we'll be going to that one since it's relatively close for us.

However, I'll have to wait to see what George's plans are for tomorrow - he's off earning some pin money right now.

James, we'll be staying home tomorrow - two shows will be too much for one day, especially that far apart for us - George plans to make it to the SVT show with his truck that evening. I may or may not bring a tbird there.

Thanks for the replies, Dot & Mike. I understand, as I am now home regrouping to go to work myself, later this evening. Sal made it after we left Whataburger and met up with us in time for lunch. We had 3 cars make the trip. As we were loading up in the cars, I saw a black retro w/ hardtop on, that I thought might be looking for us but it never came our direction by the time we pulled away. If the owner of it saw this post and was looking for us but we missed you, I apologize. We had 2 birds, and a late '70's Corvette make the drive together.

We ran into several Sherman-Denison folks we knew at the show, saw some great cars and trucks and as I said, met up with Sal in time for lunch. We also drew plenty of stares once the three T-Birds were together.

Sal - It's always good to see you.

Hope to see you all again soon.

Thanks James! It was a last minute decision to head out to meet y'all, but even though we didn't meet up till the show in Bonham, I had a nice cruise, and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I met up with new friends and the 'Vette they just picked up Thursday....What a beauty (even if it is a Chevy)!

Thanks for lunch and it was great meeting up with you, Al and his friend!

Dot...Mike....sorry y'all could'nt make it. That part of N TX is gorgeous! Missed you!

Thanks for a great day James!

Believe me we would have rather been with you rather than working Saturday. Seems Susan is getting stuck with more Saturday assignments lately. Look forward to the next one - hopefully we can make it. Know it was fun having three together. Always draw good attention when we can get a group together.

Just letting you all know I have several free Saturday evenings coming up (6/13, 20, 27) if everyone wants to get together any of those dates. I'm free after 3 pm the 13th and 20th, and all day on the 27th.

Good to hear from you, Johnny. I'll try to get more organized and start connecting with folks earlier on the next one. I've heard talk of something in the works, where we can get an area to ourselves to do more mingling. Nothing firm, yet.
