My wife Marcella and I are in. We've never been to a T-bird lover's meeting before so are looking forward to meeting some other owners.

OK Austin! I know we are laid back and we like to "Keep Austin Weird". If we are going to do this meet we need to plan it. Here are the folks who said they would be interested:

When do we want to do this? I suggested Saturday afternoon (Jan 30) around 1pm. Anybody agree or want to suggest something else?

Where? We could do Pappasitos like everyone else, or I might suggest Chuy's to help keep Austin weird. The one on North Lamar is usually not too crowded and we could easily meet there.

Anyone have a better idea?

I've edited my initial post on this thread to one similar to your #7 post.

Thanks Sally. We are still hoping to hear from Dennis and Tom again about the time and place preferences.

There are multiple Chuys locations we can choose from depending on who is coming and what time we meet. I suggested the one that is the least crowded. I actually prefer the one at 183 and Duval as it is easier to find and in a better neighborhood. Lesli and I have eaten there a couple of times recently around noon on Saturday and it was not too crowded.

I am going to PM those who indicated interest in meeting with my direct email and cell phone number. Lesli and I are looking forward to meeting some new TBN friends!

Here is a report on our Austin meet today. We had 7 people with 5 retro-birds show up. It was nice sunshiney weather but cold today, in the forties.
In attendance were:
Scott and Marcella Johnson - SAJ
Jimmy and Lesli Fitzpatrick - KOKOMO
Gene Clark ???
Bob Roberts ???
Cliff Henry - BJHEN (drove up from San Antonio)
We had three torch reds, an evening black and a medium steel blue.
Bob encouraged all of us to join the Capital City Thunderbird Club (for vintage and retrobirds).
We had fun, fun, fun, and met a bunch of new t-bird friends! Austin also became a part of the annual "Worldwide TBN Pappasitos weekend"! Thanks to all who attended.
