The video of the firefighters cutting the top off is making me ill.

at first i thought that, but I am sure their first concern was getting her out of the vehicle. they probably either didn't know how to "correctly" remove it, or since the car appears to be slightly twisted it may not have been able to come off?

The video and photos show how structurally sound the car is. Would hate to have been in a small compact car and been hit like that. Glad she did not have serious injuries.

I couldn't tell by the video. I would think the side airbags deployed thank God for them! Poor lady never had a chance to avoid the truck. Hope everything goes alright for her in the future.

As to the original question, probably not a member. No listing on member map, no bronze in the vehicle registry for NJ.

That was the low point for me too. After watching them hitting the end of that GIANT pry bar to break the door latch free I would have thought I'd seen the worst of it.

.......but then they appeared to pretty carefully take off the top.....

....... and then.......

THROW IT:omg:.......into the bushes.

As someone said already though.

People first!!!

Getting her out quickly and safely was their first priority, no doubt, the car is completely expendable by way of comparison, as it should be.

Still, not easy to watch.:frown:

As soon as I clicked on the link, Goldilocks & I decided not to watch the video, given the above posts. Just the still pic made me nearly hurl.

I've been in a few. Sheet metal or fiberglass is replaceable. That's what insurance is for. Let's all hope everything else is fine.

I can tell you that there is nothing on that car that is any concern to the rescue personnel
until the victim is removed and safe.

I am a retired fire rescue and paramedic and there is nothing We will not break to get the job done.

That said, We still feel bad sometimes for the damage that is done.
