Thanks to a quick response and welcome from those of you who already responded.

My last Ford was a 59 Thunderbird. Boy don't I wish I had kept it. I purchased it used in the late sixties so wasn't the best one to keep anyway.

Plan to keep this one

As I said I already love it and can't wait to get it out on the road away from the city traffic. I can't help going to the garage to look at it when I'm home and love it more all the time.

Friends at work said it was fantastic and beautiful this week.

I tried to find the Build # to register here but couldn't find it on "the left front fender under the hood".

Welcome to the nest Sunny03. As Gobird said, the best way to get to know most of us is by attending one of our events. Take a look at the upcoming "Thunderbirds on the Redneck Riviera" event. You might want to try to join us................especially since Gobird won't be there!:moreek: :moreek:

You will want to watch out for him............he is not stable.

Sunny,
Just viewed the registry, and the build # looks to have been replaced by the State in which you live. If you're attempting to fill out the form, just enter ////, and it should go through. Several of us have'nt been able to find, or read, that elusive number.

Welcome, Sunny! :wavey:

As far as that sticker on your driver side firewall, I found mine there but up kind of on the edge where the hood closes down. I had to almost stand on my head to read it, but it was there. It has a four digit number followed by your VIN.

Now, don't stick around here all day. Get out and enjoy that car while summer's still here! :pbj:

Hi Sunny03--
Congratulations on your new Bird...I hope you find it as much fun as you anticipate. This board is full of good information about them. You just need to learn to use the Search feature (top of the page) well.

You have found a great bunch of Bird lovers and a great site. Drive the bird and enjoy. I know what you mean about the old bird. I had a 1960 model in 1965. Had to sell when Uncle Sam asked me to go on a trip with him. :wavey: :tbn:

Welcome Sunny! And I know what you mean on the "build number" question on the registry. I tried to register mine too but when I couldn't find that number it wouldn't accept my submission with it blank.

Message to administrators: GET RID OF THAT BUILD NUMBER QUESTION! You got the VIN already and I was going nuts looking for it.
