Today, Anne and I took our TBirds to the other side of the Ottawa River to attend an annual car show event held at a marina in Aylmer Quebec. Well over 500 cars showed up, despite the day being mostly overcast, and during the last hour, it rained big time.
We were in a "2001-present North American production" class which had 20+ cars in it, lots of new Camaros, Challengers, Chargers, a beautiful Dale Earnhardt edition Monte Carlo, and a couple of really nice Solstices, Skys. Bling Bird received first in class, and though I am biased, I was so pleased to see the interest and recognition of our TBirds in comparison to other cars currently on the market.
Both Bling Bird and Yellow Bird got lots of attention, people were so fascinated with the "retro" look of our TBirds. Once again I met a few people who honestly thought our cars were actually from the '50s. Also many couples were really interested when they discovered our cars were "his and hers".
The thrill of these shows is truly about the people you meet.
