MCCNE Mustang & Fords Fall Round-Up Show, Warwick RI 10.03.10

It's time to book our Fall trip to Rhode Island for the MCCNE show.

This year the Host Hotel will be:

This is a different Hampton than the one we stayed at previously and is closer to Providence and to the car show on Sunday. It is also pet friendly.

I don't have group space reserved as they are not offering a savings on groups and it is always a pain to try to book a group reservation over the phone with the hotel desk.

It does mean however, that we don't have any rooms held and if they sell out before you book then you will be out of luck.

$103.55 per night plus tax for AAA/AARP
$109.00 per night plus tax for Best Available Rate

Events will be planned for Friday afternoon and evening, early Saturday through Saturday night, and the car show on Sunday with farewell dinner after the show.

That's the weekend Cindy has her Breast Cancer walk in Boston. So, we will probably drive down Saturday morning and join everyone for the day and then go home. I'll come back in the morning for the show. Last one of the year. We will just be getting back from our vacation so I should be well rested.....Ya, right....LOL

I'm booked for Friday & Saturday nights - can't get out of work Friday, plan is to skate early and meet with everyone for dinner and the evening festivities

We'll be around for the weekend of events, but we'll sleep home since we're so close by.
We both have to work on Friday, but we get out around 3, so we'll be available for the late day activities.

Looks like I'll be there around 4:30 - 5 Friday evening if nothing blows up at work, traffic isn't too bad and it stops raining around noon so I can get the NM in the trailer. I did start the NM on Sunday when I got home from the Big E - turned the key and it fired right up. A little detailing tonight and we're good to go. Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night.

Friday

5:00 PM Leave Hotel for dinner

8:00 PM Attend Fab Four show at Twin Rivers


Saturday

9:30 AM Leave Hotel for all day cruise. Breakfast will be on your own prior to this time. We will be eating Lunch and Dinner on the road during our cruise.

9:00 PM Return to Hotel to watch videos, have a few libations, and have some Birthday cake for Terry.


Sunday

9:00 AM Leave Hotel for the MCCNE show at:

New England Tech, Center for Automotive Technology

ALL Mustangs, Shelbys, Ford Family and Factory Ford Powered Autos, foreign, domestic or replica, Stock, Modified or Custom, will be CLUB JUDGED on Cleanliness, Condition, Fit and Finish.

Trophies Awarded about 3:30 PM.

Weather reports have it being nasty from early afternoon until commuter rush hour and then clearing out. Beautiful Saturday and Sunday in the 60s and breezy.

Well another great time has been committed to recent memory. Unfortunately this is the sadist great time of the year as the last show for the 2010 season has past. Congratulations go out to all your hard detailing winners. Both Wendy & I had an excellent time which there was never a doubt would occur. Look forward to seeing everyone in December for the annual Christmas Lights tour.

Thanks to everyone for another fun get together. True to form there was no shortage of good times, great friends, lots of laughs and beautiful cars. These weekends go by way too fast. Wish we had something in November. Seems like December is so far away!
