While I did not post her for prayers when I had the accident, I know I got them. I just thought I would post my progress. I now have the c-collar off. The Dr. said I would know when I could drive. I hope the weather stays warm. Getting in the bird with top up, I keep hitting my head, so I need the top down. My head does not turn as much, so with the top down I feel safer to look to my right. I am going to outpt therapy which helps, but oh, I am so sore the next day. I am not back to work yet. My job has been posted, but things will work out. I am not without options. I am not going back untill the Dr says it is safe, but I do hope he says its ok at my next visit in November. I do have a 8 inch scar on my left upper arm. Went to plastic surgeon. His suggestion was to return in Jan. but in the meantime, put paper tape on scar and that would soften it up and make it less visible. I think its working. It has taken the burning away. Anyways thanks all

Sorry to hear you have to go through all this Lynn. Take it easy and step by step, things will work out eventually. Most important thing is your health. We are all here for you.

Hey Lynn, thanks for the progress update. Yes it is a slow road to recovery, but it's a good road to take.

Thinking outside the box a little.... How bout a real cool tattoo around that scar...just think of the story 'Line" you could tell there. :-)

Yes, things will get better. I am able to "piss and moan" and I have a arm to have a scar on. But still the best thing, I can drive my t-bird. No matter what. Life is Good. Off to the mall in my t-bird and walk around outside.

Lynn - keeping you in our prayers...glad you can get in your Bird again. That, in itself, is good therapy!

I had a skin cancer removed from my face a couple of years ago as well has having triple bypass surgery three years ago. I used a cream called Mederma - recommended by my surgeon. Over the counter and it did a great job in helping soften the scar and allowing it to blend in to the surrounding area.

Best of luck with your recovery.
