Correction - the award is for the MEDIA KIT
While searching thru Google today, I came across an interesting award that was presented to the "Renaissance Creative Group" - The Golden Quill Award for their "Special Project Design" The 2002 Ford Thunderbird Collector's Kit" It received the "Excellence" award which appears to be the top award for that category. It's in category 15, if you care to look.

I assume the award was for the design - not the way it has been distributed.:cussing:

i've had my car almost a year and have only received the first 3 mailings. (or is it 4? not sure since it's been so long.)

Have to update the information I posted at the beginning. Steve Legel found the website for the Renaissance company and noted that their website showcased the MEDIA kit, NOT the Thunderbird collection. :toungue:that is Steve and this is me--> So I wrote the company and asked.
This is their answer:
They received their golden quill award for the MEDIA kit that was given to reporters at the 2001 NAIAS convention.
So our Thunderbird Collection Sets are awardless
For those of you that don't know about the MEDIA kit, it was an attractively boxed set that included a 1/43 scale hardtop model in 1 of the 5 colors, a 6-CD black case with the Thunderbird logo containing a press release CD, a book about the heritage & rebirth of the Thunderbird, and several slides of the Thunderbird. Runs anywhere from $40 to $300 on ebay depending on when you find the set and if the seller knows how to describe it.

 Hay that's all well and good and glad to hear they won something. BUT where the :cussing: is that Big Brown Truck with my last mailing. Not like some I paid for this myself and the truck just drives by my place every day and doesn't stop. I wonder if he needs new brake pads.:lol:

I wonder if your dealer has to make a final call and tell them that your car was delivered?????????
