There is only one song that is worthy to be the TBN song and that is Fun, Fun, Fun, by the Beach Boys.:pbj: :pbj: :pbj: :pbj:

Long before I ever dreamed of owning a TBird the song "Fun, Fun, Fun" always meant a Thunderbird to me. Therefore that should be the TBN song.

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto to all the above!! Fun Fun Fun all the way!

Question??? Would it be possible for one of the Justins to have a wav file "play" a lyric from Fun Fun Fun when we actually log into TBN?

That would be sweet!

:pbj: :pbj: :pbj: winterm, great idea, Justins can you do anything like this? Or do we need premission from the Beach Boys to do this.

Winterm...Fantastic idea...that would be sweet!
And, as others have said..it's gotta be Fun Fun Fun for our anthem!

If we did have to get permission from the Beach Boys, they should be honored!!!!

Send'em a TBN shirt when they're available!
(no royalty money...just a shirt!)

i'll go with fun, fun, fun. Sounds like the right song. But The Birds the Word could be a close second. Any other suggestions?

It has to be Fun, Fun, Fun. Don't know of any other Thunderbird song.

The "Trashmen" did the Bird is the Word but I think the actual name of the tune is Surfin' Bird. I agree its got to be Fun, Fun, Fun by the Beach Boys. However the tune I find that my radio likes to play full volume with the top down is "Ridin' Along in my Automobile" by Chuck Berry.

Its possible... not sure about the permission... but it could slow the site down a bit... we may try it for a day or something ill let you know...

Here's an example of another Thunderbird website using that song. It's the Thunderbird Cybernest which is devoted to the older Thunderbirds.

http://www.tbird.org/tcn.html

It would be cool to attach the file to the home page here (but there are better midi versions than the one on this site).

That is cool!
Justin-s and moderators..what do you think? Could a wave file be attached? It would be a shame to use anything less than the original by the Beach Boys..anyone out there know about copyright laws, infringement, etc?
We have a member from Hollywood CA, Beicholz , that I think is in the entertainment industry.. Any personal contacts that could expedite this?

Personally, I HATE music starting on the websites. It always comes on loud and when you don't want it, like late atnight. If there was a button to turn it ON, that would be OK, but not automatic, PLEASE!!!

Also, for dial-up, it realy slows things down until it loads.

I'm with David on this one. My cubicle at work is right next to my boss. If I hit a site with music or something similar I have to close it real quick!!!!
I won't have to worry about this much longer though..........My last day of work is November 21st, 2003!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joy, I'll be just like you now, retired from Verizon. They just offered a package that is too good to pass up.......36 working days and a wake-up to go.

Ditto- I agree...I'd prefer no music unless you have to click a button to choose to have it. It's fun, but annoying after the first couple of times, and yes, it slows down the site-loading, particularly if you're dial-up like me. Thanks for your consideration.

Actually, you guys are probably right...when I clicked on the above link, I had to get up and turn on the speakers to hear it, because I always turn them off when I'm on the computer! I mute everything. I would never know whether it played or not!:lol::lol: ~the jokes on me~

 I keep my PC at work muted too. Can't have the boss know that I'm screwing around instead of working.

Fun Fun Fun is probably the most deserving, but Mark Cohen's "Silver Thunderbird" is a very good song.

Watched it coming up Winslow
Down South Park Boulevard
Yeah it was looking good from tail to hood
Great big fins and painted steel
Man it looked just like the Batmobile
With my old man behind the wheel

Well you could hardly even see him
In all of that chrome
The man with the plan and the pocket comb
But every night it carried him home
And I could hear him sayin'...

Don't gimme no Buick
Son you must take my word
If there's a God in heaven
He's got a Silver Thunderbird
You can keep your Eldorados
And the foreign car's absurd
Me I wanna go down
In a Silver Thunderbird

He got up every morning
While i was still asleep
But I remember the sound of him shuffling around
Then right before the crack of dawn
I heard him turn the motor on
But when I got up they were gone

Down the road in the rain and snow
The man and his machine would go
Oh the secrets that old car would know
Sometimes I hear him sayin'...

(Chorus)

My wife and I long ago adopted "Silver Thunderbird" as our TBird song. Fun, Fun, Fun is great, but everyone considers it the song. I like being a little different (but not strange!).

Hi Chris- I like "Silver Thunderbird" as well, and there are others, but I'm partial to FUN FUN FUN.

The Fun, Fun, Fun that plays on www.tbird.org is terribly annoying if you visit the site frequently. With the high pitch and the fact that you turn the sound off after the first 5 seconds...every time you visit the site...really gets old.:cussing:
I always thought it would be cool if it were a clip from the actual song with the lyrics "fun, fun, fun 'till her daddy takes her T-Bird away" with the background vocals and then fade out.:music:

I thank you very much for the link to the song. I really think it is cool, however I would prefer to not have the music unless I choose to click onto it.

Wasn't there a song that started off "Fly Like an Eagle"?

jerrym3,

That song was done by the Steve Miller Band back in the '70's. I like it.
