PITTBIRDS
Jul 13, 2011, 10:50 PM
The Pitt Birds Thunderbird Club will have its annual picnic at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. You are invited to join us for one or both days. Celebrate this unique motorsport event in Schenley Park, Pittsburgh, PA on July 23th and 24th, 2011. The Thunderbird display is part of a car show comprised of 2,000 cars including classic, antique, and exotic vehicles from all countries.
This two day event is not your typical car show on an asphalt parking lot. Individuals and car clubs display their prized vehicles on the fairways of the Schenley Park golf course. This festive event is part of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix SCCA race. This race is the nation's only vintage race held on city streets. The 2.33 mile circuit runs through the Schenley Park golf course. The 175 race car participants conduct time trials on Saturday and race in seven groups on Sunday.
