It's an almost incomprehensible loss of our dedicated warriors.
Prayers and comfort for their families and friends.

Can't be said any better than this, Sal.

This has hit our area particularly hard. Most of the deceased (the Seal Team members) were based here at Dam Neck. The base is on lockdown now so that the families can cope without media interfering. No one else is allowed in. Good move on the Navy's part. Just too overwhelming.

here is something you can post to your Facebook account.
31 lost, 31 unwanted visits, 31 doors receive that dreaded knock, 31 families with shattered hearts, 31 pairs of boots lined up with rifles, dog tags, and helmets, 31 comrades remembered and grieved for, 31 funeral services, 31 names on newly made grave markers, 31 empty places at the table, 31 souls who gave all, whose lives leave a void, so let's take 31 seconds to re-post this and pause to reflect on such a sacrifice as 31 are gone forever...

We got the news Monday that another boy from Bakersfield was also killed in a separate incident on Sunday in Afganistan. He left behind a wife and 3 kids. Too sad for words (tearing up as I type) kleenex time
