Below is information regarding an event in the Mid-Atlantic area that some of you might be interested in. I don't have any other details, but there is a cost ($20) which includes a ticket to the Ironbirds game (Orioles minor league team owned by Cal Ripken - you might see more action here than a major league Orioles game!). PS: Barb & I will be out of town that night. But if some else would like to coordinate a TBN contingent, that would be great. I know there will be other TBirds there representing other TBird organizations.
We here at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD are hosting a car show on Tuesday, August 30th. The Aberdeen Ironbirds are hosting a game at 7:05 which is Automotive Night. We figured that a car show before the game would be ideal becuase of the theme night. This will be a general car show so if it has an engine, bring it! Incentives/Recognition will be given to car clubs who bring out one or a few cars.
- If a car club brings one car, they will be recognized on the video board and PA system during the game
- If a car club brings five or more cars, they will be put in the game day program
- If a car club brings ten or more cars, they will be put in a raffle for a skybox during the 2012 season
- If a car club brings 25 or more cars, they will get a table on the main concourse during Nascar Night of the 2012 season.
This is something that we here at the stadium are very excited for and we expect to have a very big turnout. Admission is free to the public so we hope to have a lot of people out here so that each car can get the recognition it deserves.
