Our first official (?) AZ TBN Tbird event was held on Saturday. Our flock participated in a road rally to the historic old mining, former ghost town of Jerome, AZ. For us, a flock is made up of a minimum three birds. We were joined by a Corvette ZO6, a BMW convertible and a Harley. We were a small but enthusiastic group. It was a good time. I've included some pictures...
The picture below at the Jerome Brewery shows Susan Hildebrand (shildebr) on the far left, Jim Hildebrand on the far right and 2nd from the right is Kim (ms. jjaz). The other two are our biker buddies, Karen and Jerry Howe.

Among the BMW and Corvette couples is our own AZ Yellowbird (Jim Ellis) in the black and yellow cap.

Neat view with Jerome in the background. As you can see, Jerome was built into the side of the mountain. It's remarkable how it was accomplished with only the technology of the late 19th century.

Great shots! Makes me miss that country out there. Aren't the small trips fun?

Members take note of our established definition of "flock" - three or more Thunderbirds in a caravan.

Thanks for sharing.

I just looked at our pictures again. Aren't our clear, blue skies beautiful? Anyone who's visited Arizona knows how awesome our winter sunsets are, too.

Hey, nice flock!
Those roads look like a perfect place to take your bird formation. I can hardly wait to point my bird toward the mountains of NC.

When you point that bird towards those beautiful NC mountains, Brdnhand, don't forget to call us! I'm pretty sure NC2K2bird would join up with us to make that "flock", too! 57TBird lives in our neihborhood, and they'd probably like to come, too!

That loop from Phoenix through Jerome to Sedona is a fabulous drive. I've done it several times, the first was in a rented Convertible. I'd love to get my Bird out there and drive it again. Glad you guys had such a good time, and the weather lookd great too, (as it almost always is).:bestwish: :bestwish:

A little known fact.......

Winston Churchill's mother (Jenny Jerome) was born in Jerome , Arizona.

Learned that from the owner of one of the stores in jerome when we visited there a few years ago, while we were in Sedona.

Thought you all would just love to know that unique fact about Winston. .
