That right I thought it would never happen but today I got my
little red t-bird. Now I can say that I am a member of the tbn
family. I will have to get up early to see if it is still in the garage.
The first thing my wife said was that she wanted to drive it to
her job and I said for get it there is no safe place to park my
baby it would get dented. An over protective parent.

Congratulations to you, Jerry.
Make sure you get up earler than your wife, or else you might be left inspecting the oil stains on the garage floor. :-)

Hi Jerry,
Welcome to TBN. I have had my red bird since June and the feelings you have I still have today. It really doesn't get any better with time.

Welcome Jerry,
I, like Ray in Ohio, have had my red bird since June. You have hit on the only problem I have encountered in owning a bird. Where do I park it? Will it be safe? Every time I park I get a mental picture some 15yr old station wagon full of kids roll up and park with inches to spare and the doors fly open and "WHAM WHAM" your paint job is history.

:wavey: Welcome to the flock, Jerry & Wife!
Remember, parking far away from everyone else not only protects your bird, but helps you keep fit by having to walk so far to the entrance!
(see, birds are good for our health not only mentally, but physically, too!)

Welcome Jerry,
Why is this car different? Let me state my opinion. I've owned a BMW and an Audi and the biggest difference is the American attitude this car gives off. Upbeat, optimistic, happy - like America. The European cars (like their contries) sometimes take themselves too seriously. Look at the face of a european sportscar driver, then look in the mirror as you drive your Bird. Do they look like they're having FUN? They don't even smile most of the time, very serious. Here, we are a generally happy, upbeat group - like our cars - and it's infectious.
Welcome aboard!

thanks everyone for the encouragement however now the
work is beginning in fixing all the details like woof dash, decal
windows. nm wheels, etc. I
need to know where you can get every thing cheep I ran out
of money buying the car. Good thing i caught the dealer at
a bad time and he dropped the price so i could get my dream.

Search on wood dash and you'll find your leads. Prices seem pretty close for all the brands.
I think the consensus has been that wood looks best on grey or black models with saddle seats. Aluminum seems to go best with the brighter color models and interiors. However, I think a dark burl with a redish cast could look nice on a red car.
