Hi all,
I'm a new member of the Nest. My name is Ray Reed and I live in Bloomington, Illinois. I just purchased a 2003 Whisper White Premium with partial Whisper White interior accent. I traded in a 2002 Isuzu Axiom and a 1988 Pontiac Fiero to get my dream car. I've wanted one of these new Birds since the first time I saw the concept car, and especially after seeing it in person at the Chicago Auto Show last year. All of my friends and family think I'm nuts for trading both my vehicles for the Bird (especially my Fiero), but I couldn't be happier. My Fiero was a one-of-a-kind show car and had won several trophies at car shows, but as much as I loved it, it can't compare to how I feel about my new Bird. I really enjoyed belonging to a Fiero Club and travelling around the country to various events, and I didn't think there could possibly be a more loyal or more fanatic group of car owners anywhere.......until I stumbled upon the Bird Nest! I really look forward to attending T-Bird events in the future, and meeting fellow T-Bird lovers. I have found this forum to be extremely helpful already, but more importantly, I've found a place where my psychosis is not only considered normal but actually welcomed! It's a beautiful sunny fall day today in central Illinois with the temperature expected to hit 75, so I think I'll put the top down and enjoy it! Have a great day everyone!
