Ford has started a centennial anniversary web site (http://www.ford.com/en/ourCompany/centennial/default.htm) which is interesting in itself, but they are also asking people to submit stories about their car-related experiences. Now I know that no one here likes to talk about their T-bird, but I thought I'd let you know, just in case...

Ford is planning a pretty BIG BASH for their 100th anniversary. Several of the car clubs are planning on attending the event. I know that VTCI has already started it's preparations for this celebration. You can check out the VTCI website at: www.vintagethunderbirdclub.org

Checked out the centennial site and they have a place to register for events and updates. They recommend this be done now to avoid the rush.

Also, Anyone who is interested in bringing a classic Ford Vehicle to the festivities should register early as space is limited - A club affiliation is not necessary!!
I think it should be a lot of fun... There is also a rumor in the works that a similar event will be held in 2005 for the 50th birthday of the T-bird... That should be cool!

There's an update on the centennial website. You now can purchase tickets for all the events and by doing so, you receive a final event credential package. I ordered 2 tickets today, I'll let you know what they send.

I ordered mine yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how high the confirmation number was so early in the morning - It was already up to 300 only after being "available" for an hour!
It should be really neat!
Did anyone see the history exhibit info - You ride through the exhibit in a reproduction of a model T - Kinda like the Ford Exhibit at the '64/'65 New York World's Fair - What a cool idea to bring back!

Fordman, When I ordered mine yesterday, my conformation number was in the 10400 range. I'm really looking forward to all the events. We'll have to get together when you come this way in June. I know of 2 other members that have hotel reservations already in the area, it should be a good time! I'll have to check out that history tour you mentioned.
