How do the pictures look? We may consider doing this every month... just takes a bit more time.

They are too small and one cannot appreciate the close details of the Birds. Can the camera icon also be attached so individuals can click and be at the specific gallery or can you turn the pictures into thumbnails to the specific gallery?

If you need to see them closer... you can view the original thread of the submissions provided in the first post. The thumbnails are there as a "reminder". :biggrin:

If you can figure out a way to increase the resolution like in the avatars to make the photos more clear, then it will be a real plus and should increase the voting activity.

There is a lot of difference between the looks of the large photos and the thumbnails.

I liked one large photo but when I saw it as a thumbnail I didn't like it... so I voted for the thumbnail picture that I liked best... because it will appear on the home page and we see it more often in that format...

Thanks for putting them in thumbnail... that is a great addition...

Also... Is there an easier way to find the voting? Maybe a link on the home page?

I like the new addition, even if the pictures are smaller. It allows me to get an overview, and then go to the other thread to preview the ones I'm interested in voting for...

I like the thumbnails, but I agree w/Tom (what a scary thought!! LOL) that it would be nice if they were clickable.

Excellent, excellent addition. I agree with you that the thumbnails are just there as a reminder. I always go back to the original thread anyway, but I've been looking for something like this for a long time. Again, job well done. Kudos!

Making them clickable, making them better quality, etc... is all a lot of work and would require a significant amount of time each month. The way it is currently set up it reads the created thumbnails from your galleries. Thanks for the ideas guys... some are being considered.

Justin, I like this new format for voting - I look at the big ones first, then when I'm ready to vote, the thumbnails help remind me which ones I liked most. Unfortunately, I usually like all of them equally, and end up doing an eeny-meeny-miney-moe to pick one favorite!:pbj: :pbj:

BTW, Justin...I very much like the thumbnails on the ballot! Thanks! Hopefully that will increase voter turn out, as we won't have to take another step to see the photos. Be interesting to see the number change on voters, but with this being holiday time, January may be more indicative of any increases.

THIS is why we need a gallery to post extra special "postcard" type photos of our cars. Unless we check everybody's personal gallery frequently, we miss great photos froom past winners. I, for one, don't want to miss any of Kokomo's future photos!

Nice win Kokomo. That photo was bound to win eventually as it was well done. You just had some real tough competition in the prior months.

On that note, I think the photos were a little off this month. 6 of the photos look pretty good and are basically what I would consider magazine quality. We all have the same car that are all basically stock in appearance and in excellent condition; so it's the background that is really important in giving your car a standout photo.

Please, no minivans and people in the background (unless it's a young lady in a bikini posing with your car). :lol:
