I've been trying to figure out how to resolve a screw up that was made when my T-Bird was ordered last year. I believe I've figured out a way to make it a one of a kind better than new bird.

I had wanted the black accent interior and the dealer ordered a standard black. I liked the solid black interior, but would prefer some accent color. Since my dealer wants to make it right, I think I'm going to replace the standard steering wheel and gearshift knob with the blue. There was no way to order this combination initially, so it would be a truly unique car.

Has anyone done this?

Does anyone know the part numbers and dealer prices for the blue steering wheel and gearshift replacement?

NCBluebird, I checked into the blue Knob and you can't only get the knob. They said other parts were needed (don't know why) and it alone was around $275. I declined.

Where did it go? What's the difference between standard black & black accent?

he standard is leather wrapped, and the accent is shiny black painted wood.
