Hi All,

Thrilled to find a site for "New Bird Owners".
I am a 56 year old, retired SBC Manager, from Lansing Michigan.
I would like to here from other Michigan folks that have a New Bird.
Mine is a 2002, Black, premium edition with the Red/Black full accent package.
I have had the brakes painted imron Red and added fender skirts. My next move is to add the chrome hood scoop.
I will add some pic's when I get the chance.
Looking forward to hearing from others, and thanks for the great site.

Dave

Hi Dave,

Welcome to TBN, you have found the best TBird website on the internet. Prepare yourself for a "flock" on new friends. This site will answer your questions and provide you with more information than you bargained for. Try to attend any local or regional gatherings to meet other bird owners.

Hi Dave - Welcome, and enjoy the site. I am just outside Grand Rapids, and try to get to the summertime events whenever possible. My wife and I are going to the All Ford Nationals in June. It is in Pennsylvania and will have a large gathering from this site. Hope you can make it. PM me if you ever have any questions.

BTW - my calipers are painted as well - Thunderbird Blue!

Howdy,
Welcome to a newbie from a newbie.
Only been here a week and I have been blown away by the folks and the info.

I am a member of several special interest web sites and I can say without a doubt that this site is the best, friendliest, most informative and as fun as the Bird itself.

Enjoy you Bird and wait for the parking lot and red light "visits" from total strangers.

Welcome Dave

I joined this site about 15 days ago.

It is great.

People are responsive, and just darn nice

Don't forget to take some pictures and place them in the gallery

(I'm 55 and wanting to retire, my second son was just admitted to a private college.. so its gonna be a while)

Sorry, Dave, but the gallery has been out of commission for about 3 weeks now. Meanwhile you can attach photos to your messages as long as they're 800x800 pixels or less.

TBN members - Dave sent me a photo of his car several days ago and it's posted on my website at:

Dave,
Welcome from another MI member, I'm from Livonia and have been on TBN since the beginning.
What a small world, like you, I'm a retired SBC management employee, having worked at NWOC (Southfield) for 35 years. What office did you work out of? We may have crossed paths at some time.
I have a 2002 yellow premium with full interior and just love it! Hope you can join us local owners for a gathering this summer, jb007 is planning one at his place. Like Tbird02, we are going to Carlisle in June, give it a thought, its going to be a fun time.

Dave, I just flew back from Lansing (business trip) this past Saturday.

In Lansing, I had to clear the ice and snow off my rental car, and I almost missed my connecting flight in Detroit due to slow de-icing process in Lansing (de-icing truck got stuck; frozen brake).

Four hours later in NJ, I was washing three of my five cars in the driveway (daughter's 99 Mustang) and the temp was about 50.

I don't think that I'll be complaining too much about the Jersey weather in the future.

Dave -
I am also from MI ... just down the road from YLO BRD and up the road from jb007. I am driving down to Atlanta for ThunderIsle in May if you are interested in caravaning. Check out the event ... would be a great way for you to kick off your summer. Hope to see you at jb007's get together this summer in Carleton, MI. Sorry to say I am not a SBCer .... rather IBMer. Alan
