Hey, are we having a TBOM for March?
It's already the 25 of Feb and this is a short (although longer than usual) month. I miss seeing everybody's pictures!

Since we are unable to upload pictures, it is doubtful that the Justin(s) will announce a contest for March.

Just for the members information, what is the expected return date of the upload feature? Seems like this has been out a long time.

Can't we just load pics into a thread and have the contest like that? submit links to our pictures at other sites (thanks Dot)
I'd really like to have a march contest.

Feb 25, 2004, 08:11 AM
that is how it has always been done?i think they are concerned about members having 3 photos in the gallery? we could suspend that rule this month.

Ahhh, my bad... I agree. I have tons of pics just waiting to go in the gallery. Good idea taflocks.

Several ways around the problem but waiting for word from one of the Justins.

Feb 25, 2004, 11:01 PM
Sorry im here. If you guys want to have a contest we can. The gallery feature we are hoping to have up shortly. There is something that needs to happen first, but we will wait to announce that until further details are worked out.
A Justin
Feb 25, 2004, 11:05 PM
Alright guys of coarse this month is going to be different due to problems within the TBN site and server.
First 12 people to enter a picture of their thunderbird get to participate.
Still cannot be a previous winner.
Pictures in gallery dont matter.
Submission entries will end tomorrow and then we will have a quick vote. Thank you!

I guess I'll try again; this was taken along Route 66 in Odell, Illinois. It is in front of a restored Standard Oil gas station.

Wow...what great snaps! Some of those look like they came right out of Ford's promotional material for the Thunderbird (okay, okay...so Ford doen't have any promotional material for the Bird - BUT IF THEY DID...)

This is my car on display at the Ford Centennnial Celebration. I displayed with a Ford club one day, and this gave me the opportunity to be in some pretty nice company.

Just home from the dealer and about to be nested till all that white stuff is gone and dried up. Only got to drive her for a week and has less than 200 miles on her. (A total of 27 inches fell shortly after this pic taken.) Almost melted now.:mouth_wat

Hey Justin, How about if you make the thumbnails links, so when we click on them we see the big picture?
That would be great!
5bird7
Feb 29, 2004, 05:35 PM
hlipps,
Justin didn't do the graphic and I've never played with what you're asking for - takes much more time. The photos are in the order that they are on the submission thread which is linked right above the thumbnail graphic. That was the best I could do. You'll have to count down the entries to find the one you want if you don't have your usercp set up to view the photos automatically.

Ooops!
Sorry Dot!
I'm impressed!
I think you did a very good job with the thumbnails and it was a great idea. I look foreward to it every month! I really don't need the big picture to pop up when I click on the thumb, I'm sure it would be a pain to do. I'm still just learning how to uploading the pictures on the internet.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the time commitment you make to TBN.

Yes, most of the votes are for #7 and it does have a wonderful composition...however, I must vote for #3. Nice one BornBird. My Uncle, H.B. "Totem" Owen, posed for the Iwo Jima statue at Arlington.

These cars are gorgeous! I threw mine in because I was first but figured I won't be a contender until summer when I can get some beautiful backgrounds! I didn't even vote for myself, (thanks to the two people who did!) I voted for #4 because I thought it was soooo cool a shot. I was finally able to put some wax on my car this week after having to wait 2 months since I had that little hit 'n run and the body shop recommended the wait. Now it's nice and shiny. I'll enter again sometime, you'll see how pretty she can be! Good Luck to all.

Thank you! to all who submitted for this month's TOTM. If we could vote for all of them, we'd have 12 winners! Congratulations goes to Model T though for his outstanding entry. Loved that reflection on the side of his car.

Thanks To all that took the time to vote for TTOM this month. There are twelve winners this month. I'm sure everyone that owns a thunderbird will agree, they all look good, and make for a great picture every where they are.
We were just lucky enough to have the opportunity to order ours soon enough to get the color we wanted. Also, to have a son-in law that farms, and has sunflowers on his farm. This gave us a long time to think about photo opportunities, and to wait for the right time to take pictures for our entry..
Thanks again to everyone, especially Dot, for setting up this thread, and the help posting our picture. And thanks to the other eleven winners this month for posting your gorgeous pictures.

Thanks again everyone, you all have no idea how much that means to our family, right now.
Tuesday was an ideal day to get our Thunderbird out of storage, and go for a drive. Mid 60's, sunny, and no wind. But, after the drive I had to tell Carol that her mother had to have her left leg amputated ( diabetes ). Yesterday, before we left for the hospital I showed my wife the results of the TOTM.
Yesterday evening my mother-in-law had her surgery, and it looks now like it was very successful. I stayed with her all night last night, and just got home about an hour ago ( that's why I just now answered the PM'S). She is still doing fine, but would appreciate your prayers for her continued success.
Thanks again for the special moment before a critical circumstance.
LuvHisBird

You are most welcomed Model T and what else is an extended family for if not to give support and prayers when it is needed. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your family.

Model T - Congratulations on your photo. It is beautiful.
I'm sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. I hope she heals well, and I hope Carol is doing ok. It sure is hard watching our parents aging and falling ill, isn't it? You are all in our prayers.
