Kyphi and I have been jabbering about making some day-trips coming up when my hectic work schedule slows a bit... hopefully by early summertime.
So, where are the Arizona Tbird fans? I notice that the latest post in this forum was from December. It'd be nice to put together a run to Seligman one of these fine weekends.
Let us know who's out there!
Kind regards,
Pete

PETE, I know about 10 guys in Arizona, all in the WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM. Don't know if they drive T-Birds. I would assume no. Probably don't want to attract to much attention to them selves. You see what TONY SOPRANO did to the guy he suspected of being an informer!!

Wasn't that something about a horse's head in bed with him?

We are Jim & Kay Hagarty, aka: "PRETTYBIRD" from Cedar Falls, Iowa. We plan to drive our 2002 White T-Bird down this year for our annual winter stay in Apache Junction, Arizona.
Also, our good friends Dennis & Judy Christensen, aka: "CHRISCRETE", bring their 2002 Blue T-Bird down for their winter stay in Glendale.
Please keep in touch with us for any TBN activitys you may be planning during the Winter visitor's season !
Does anyone have a list of TBN members in the Phoenix, Az. area yet?
Thanks, Jim & Kay

Been here from day one...not sure, but I think I may be the earliest owner of a Bird in AZ that belongs to the site...and unlike alot of 'zonies', my wife and I were born here...ordered ours in April 01...took delivery in April 02. Schedule keeps us pretty close to home and the grandkids, though.

:wavey: :wavey: Thanks to Kyphi, Pete & Tom for your kind words. This has been a rough go - altho Dad was 92, losing him hasn't been easier because of his age. But Tom, I took out some of my frustration by cleaning (really!!) out the garage. Good Will was glad to see me. Kyphi & Pete, get in touch when you can. My Tucson treks were such that I had to just speed by Casa Grande, mall and all. May 2005 be a better one.

Kresent...so sorry to hear about your father. Did notice you'd been absent from the site, but figured it had something to do with the holidays. We're all wishing you a better 2005! Happy motoring...

Thanks, Jim. I'm trying to lighten up - see my New Year's Diet and newspaper article I wrote about candy canes, both in Off Topic. And so it goes ...

When the weather in Flag gets better, we ought to give some thought to making a Rt 66 run from Flag to Oatman! Any takers?

Oatman? Is that in the NW part of the state? Near Kingman?

Oatman? Is that in the NW part of the state? Near Kingman?
Jim: Yes, it's over by the river. My understanding is that they hold several car ralleys of different sorts, and the usual drill is the Oatman to Seligman run. I have not been there, but I believe that Oatman is the end of the original 66 in Az. After Oatman, heading west, the road combines with other modern state routes through to California.

This Zonie has been pretty much zoned out what with Dad's estate liquidation and all. But I did just get a chance to read about the cow sign and cracked up coimpletely over Pete's not wanting to live where there were no bullet holes in the sgns.
Yes, a pilgrimage to Rte 66 to view this national treasure is a must.
You know, I'd go to the TN affair but would be scared to trek myself,. Any zonies going that i could tag behind in my beautiful blue bird?? :tightspot

I sure wish we could go! Sadly, the distance and costs are just too much for my pre-retirement budget. Beside which we have a mess 'o' cats and a new grandbaby to mind. We can probably talk Kyphi's daughter into house/cat sitting for one overnight, but a week (plus travel) would be over the top I'm afraid.
Anyone else from Arizona attending Thunder Fever?

kresent, Sugardaddy and Kim are coming from California. You might see if you can hook up with them somewhere along the route.
