Hello from a rookie ... It was great to find this site - I've already gotten much valuable information on my new toy; well, 2003, almost new. This is my first T'Bird after three Miatas - wow, it's great to ride comfortably. Looking forward to many visits to the thunderbird nest.

Another Bruce????
Retired AT&T, huh? Where are you? I'm 24 years Verizon in New England and like to think retirement is around the corner? I said I'd buy a Bird when I retire and after too many pitter patters everytime I saw one drive by, I said "screw it", I want it now so I got this 2003 MSG Bird!!! Jeez, I'll be driving it 365 days a year with a smile on my face everytime I get behind the wheel. It's no more driving here and there, it's a constant comfort and joy.
WELCOME ABOARD new friend!

Welcome to the flock. Best site on www for new Bird owners...great site, great people, great events. Yes, compared to a Miata, the Bird is roomy...my former car was a Town Car, a rolling Lazy Boy chair. Oh well, I traded comfort for style.

Welcome. Glad to see another former (& still) Miata fan behind the wheel of a Bird. That "comfortable" feeling is nice, isn't it? My favorite part of the Bird, tho, is the smooth and strong acceleration. The Miata's quick; the Bird is breathtaking. Cheers.

Hi Bruce,
Glad to have you here. I think it says something for the Bird that a died-in-the-wool Miata fan would change brands. And the Miatas are great little roadsters!
