I haven't tried improving the T-Bird yet but as a former Lightning owner I can tell you what improved HP and performance the most.

1. Aftermarket exhaust-get the gas out
2. Aftermarket air intake-get the air in
3. Reprogram the chip-major improvement

I would consider these improvements the big 3. Now for the next challenge, who to contact to acquire these parts. Check on the "search" page for a starter. JDM engineering in N.J will do a chip but not sure on the other items.

1) Borla exhaust
2) Cold air intake system.

I've put both on my '02 and can definately tell the difference.

The chip is not replaceable, has to be reflashed. Some have tried it, don't know if it was worth it.
