But... The secenery alone should be a good enough reason to make this trip. That and the look on the bikini clad babes and muscle throbing studs when they see real sex appeal :smokin: right before their very eyes...   come on folks, let's make this a trip of the year. :smokin: :smokin:

:drums: :drums: :drums: Heck I go away for a little R & R and nobody carries the THUNDERBEACHBALL :joker: :joker: :joker: :joker: OK so It's a bad joke, I admit. I don't know about all of you florida folk, but I'm looking forward to this cruise next Sunday. After we leave Clearwter Beach I thought we'd head on down to Sunset beach and then on to Ft. Desoto Park. Coming north again to the St. Pete Pier and up to Anderson Park. My cell number is 727-744-1550, so if you want to join in late and catch up just give me a call. I'm looking forward to seeing and meeting all of you. Have a safe 4th to all of you.

ok, Sandee & I will definitely be there. Have to figure out how long it will take us to get to Tarpon Springs. Might drop out after Desoto Park - how far back is Anderson Park? Is anyone going who has not seen a Neiman? Need to decide whether to go with or without hardtop. :smokin:

:worship: :worship: Welcome aboard Bob... The more the merrier. Ok I'll try to answer some of your questions. First It's probably about 1:45 from Siesta Key to Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs... As for the location of Anderson Park, it's back up north in Palm Harbor, just south of the starting point. I for one haven't seen a Neiman and am looking forward to seeing yours. See you there and "Let the good times roll bay-b"

PS I'm going topless myself :tyty: :tyty: :omg: :omg:

guess I'll put the hardtop back on for the summer, so you can get the full Neiman effect. We definitely will drop off at Desoto Park - can't see going to Tarpon Springs, back to within 50 miles of home and then back to Palm Harbor and back home. that would be about 2 round trips and 3 hrs extra driving. We will get an early start and try to get there close to 8am. looking forward to meeting new TBN friends. :smokin:

Here's an overview of the days activities:

Directions to Fred Howard Park, Tarpon Springs. Off of US 19 take Tarpon Ave (582) WEST. For those of you coming from the East, Keystone Road (582) becomes Tarpon Ave. This is very very short. when it cross's 19Alt, it becomes narrow. For those of you coming South on 19, you can do above,or take 19Alt thru the village of Tarpon Springs. You will take a right at the Light at the Church (Tarpon Ave) there is a "Stamus Boat Yard" sign there.
It will end at a "T". Turn RIGHT, onto Spring Blvd. You will loop arround a beautiful lagoon and over a quaint draw bridge then arround another lagoon. You are in a residential area, quite winedy. Follow signs to "Howard Park". you will have one turn to take. Left on Wideview Ave. It is well marked, your at a stop sign, and a soccer field is accross from you. Howard Park is at the end of this street, on the right, after you pass the elementary school.

From 0800 to 0900 Rendevous at Howard Park, Tarpon Springs for Coffee & Pastries compilments of Dunkin'Donuts, and for a TBN Welcome in the first grove by the water, on your left after you enter the park. Its approx 1500 yards in. It is after the Playground area after an immediate left turn you have to take..

At approx 9AM we will depart by heading out to the Beach in the park on it's penninsylar for early morning photo shoots and to get the blood flowing as to what the day will encompass.

Then its back by the Grove area, for any straggler's and out, headed for the Clearwater Beach area, for more relaxation and photo shoots. Down the Gulf Blvd (699) thru Indian Rocks Beach, Reddington Beach, Maderia Beach, Treasure Island, and St. Pete Beach. Turning onto Pinnellas Bayway and out into Tampa Bay headed for Fort DeSoto for a barbecue.

There we will picnic. All sundries will be provided, BUT, Bring Your Own Food .
Condiments, plates, plasticware, charcoal all provided. There is ample area's with grilles and picnic tables for us to choose from. We were unable to reserve a block because they required a 50 count for that. After a couple hours there, Picnicing, relaxing, sightseeing, photoing, etc, then its off to St Petersburg --- The Pier. (hey, we're tourists for the day)

On the way it's time to stop, for that much anticipated Ice Cream. Then caravaning back up to Anderson Park for a wrap up of the day and goodbyes, or so-longs for now.

Realizing we are coming in from different area's, NO ONE is under any obligation to run the gauntlet here. Join in when you can, leave when and where its convenient for you. This is NOT FORMAL. This is for Relaxation and Cruising.

Here's hoping anyone with a Bird, in the sound of my voice here, can join in the Fun.

Paul's cell is 727 744-1550 Mine is 508 317-6634 . We will also have FX Radio's on Channel 5.

Now..........Let's Party!!!!!!!!

Bay-B & OlDave really did an awesome job, by organizing this cruise and we had a BLAST. Bay-B & Faye, guided us thru some awesome sites with a map in hand for each of us and we got rained out at 2:30 pm, but what beautiful scenery and the most enjoyable part was the company of all the people. I have been in other car clubs, and let me tell you, Thunderbird people are the friendliest and greatest people to be with. We had a great day !!!! OlDave will write more later. But even tho OlDave is my BETTER half, he & Bay-B, (Paul), ,I just want to say THANK you, very much. :music: :music: :music: . Oh Ya.....I provided the TBird music, while taking my Happy Pills. :number1: :number1: :poke:  All I can say is..... WE HAD A BANG UP GOOD TIME AT THUNDERBEACH 1... and I want to thank everyone who came for making it that. The weather was great, the company was outstanding and the food (albeit slow cooked) :candle: :candle: was excellent as well. We talked about doing another trip either up north of here or down south of here. Wherever it is you can count Faye and I in on it. Especially want to thank OLDAVE and CLAIRE for helping to make this an outstanding day trip. 8 birds looked pretty good lined up in front of the Sunshine Skyway bridge I think. :saint: It was great meeting all of you and to seeing you all again real soon. As for those of you who missed THUNDERBEACH 1, I would encourage you to try to make the next cruise, even if you have to make it a weekend trip. The fun and commaraderie we shared along with the great chemistry between all who participated was extraordinary. Again, thank you all for coming and I look forward to our next trip...

Okay all, trying to set up an events gallery file, for y'all.(not bad for a transplanted Yankee)

The sight of the day though, was in Maderia Beach, when that 57 Pink T-Bird passed us in the other direction, and he was waving Franticly at us. Thought he was going to crash it.

WHAT A WONDERFUL TIME KAREN AND I HAD MEETING YOU ALL YESTERDAY!!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the beautiful 'Birds and meeting you all. Bob and Sandy Stone (Sarasota) and Karen and I (also from Sarasota) talked about how nice it would be to meet at our home one of these times and cruise down from Bradenton Beach along the water to the Stone's home on the water in Siesta Key for a picnic/whatever. Would you all come this far for the day?

Special thanks to Dave and Paul for putting this all together!!!!

What a great day! Many thanks to all who worked out the route and all the other details. Paul and Faye, take a bow for a job well done. We were all in good hands the whole route, (even around the ROTARY). We certainly are a bunch of fun-loving folks who all get along well together - - - the key ingredient to easy cruising. Great pics, Rick & Sherry. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful day.

We're not as strong as the Georgia group yet, but that was a tremendous start. Sandee and I are looking forward to getting with Steve and Karen to plan Thunderbeach (South) II.

What is the status of the proposed cruise to Sarasota/Siesta Key?
Is that still in the works, or has it been cancelled?
Just wondering whether there was a tentative date for planning purposes for our calendars.
