I'll be spending my Thanksgiving out of town this year and away from my Thunderbird, but I remember where I was a year ago... knowing that my Thunderbird was somewhere between Michigan and Georgia, on its way to me. Those were days that with every phone call, my dealer might be calling to tell me that my car had finally arrived. It finally did, a few days after Thanksgiving. I'm thankful to have my new Thunderbird this Thanksgiving and thankfrul to have made so many friends through this forum and happy to have gotten the chance to meet many of you in person!
I hope that everyone has a nice Thanksgiving this year and a safe journey, if your Thanksgiving takes you away from your home.

DOT LANG'S TURKEY MANIA
A little known fact about Dot, is that, along with riding heard on the Thunderbird enthusiasts, and keeping George the happiest man on earth, Dot also collects Turkeys. Like platters, and gravy boats. Thanksgiving must be a wonderful opportunity to wash all that ceramic and put it on display. I don't think she has any turkey stautues driving any Thunderbirds, though.

Steve is correct, I have two t-bird manias. The postcards from 100 years ago are gorgeous and I have quite a collection of them - with just the "t-bird" theme.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Safe journeys if you're traveling.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Enjoy your holiday with family and friends. We are going to have more turkey than will know what to do with. My wife is cooking a traditional turkey, I am mesquite smoking one, and my son-in-law is deep frying one. One turkey would be enough for all of us to eat, but everyone likes something different. So looks like we will have lots of leftovers.

The famous sports editor of the Atlanta Journal, Furman Bisher, has, for decades, run a column in the paper on Thanksgiving day that lists all ( some a bit tongue-in-cheek) of the things he is thankful for.
I will attempt to replicate his style, if not the quality of his writing:
I am Thankful that some people are still passionate about cars.
I am thankful that Ford recreated the TBird in a style that we all fondly remember and love from the '50s.
I am thankful for this forum, the people on it,
and the our successful escape from tbird forum pergatory.
I am thankful for the memories of Destination 2002 and the anticipation of Destination 2003.
I am thankful for the great group of Tbird owners we have here in the Atlanta area.
I am thankful that I can own a Thunderbird...especially one as beautiful as the 2002s.
I am thankful that I was able to actually install my brushed aluminum interior trim pieces perfectly without messing it up.
I am thankful for Box #5 ( and I am still fighting on behalf of those who still have not gotten it).
I am thankful that I don't have to shriek "P60"
into the phone 10 times a day anymore.
I am thankful for the smile that finds my face every time I walk into the garage and see that
beautiful blue car.
Ya'll have a great holiday!!!!!!

I to would like to take time out of a busy day to wish you a GREAT THANKSGIVING day and while you are with family or friends be thankful for the little things also. I agree also to say a prayer for those who serve our great country so we might have that freedom. To all my bird friends be safe.
