i just got my 02 bird and love it.no problems at all and price was under sticker.my question is what is the first year that the new tbird was sold.i always thought it came out in 2000.but most of the talk about them seems to begin with the 02 model.

It began with the 2002 model which were first delivered starting in late July 2001.

The concept model debuted in Jan 1999 with various production date rumors for the real thing. Production didn't finally start until early June 2001.
