Glad to hear that Joe. A few of my trees are leaning more than after Charley, and Frances claimed a third fence panel, but aside from that, we did well. I lost power for only an hour. "My T" Tom lost his cable... and I think thats his major impact from the storm. He didn't even lose power this time. Hope everyone else faired as well.

Yahoo, she's gone, we're back.
Just got back the Power tonite. The rain has actually stopped (for a while). Joe, you really lucked out. Other's over near you at the Course are still waiting. WWJB am out of Brooksville, has been FANTASTIC, covering the County, as passing the word. Just a heck of a mess here to clean up, neighborhood has been trashed, but structuarlly, evrything A OK. Hope the NC Mountains tame this beast. Next up "Birds in Paridise" (NO IVAN!!!)

Still without power, phone, utilities after 6 days. We're told could be another week or longer. Stayed at 4 homes so far - scary night when Francis came through. Now we're watching Ivan very carfefully - I'm thinking of bailing to LA or SD for a week. 03 Greybird is buried in the garage with a ton of other stuff (potential missles in a storm). All in all gettting weary - just found a hotel with generator and ac. Guess we were very lucky that it could have been worse. Thanks for your concern.

No cable yet but I can live with that. Still cleaning up the debris from fallen branches and leaves everywhere. Having daily heavy rains which is creating flood potential in several areas.
Bracing for Ivan, the unwelcome guest. Can we possible stand another one?
Cheer up - all will be fine in time for the BIRDS IN PARADISE cruise here on October 2nd. Register now if you haven't already done so. Only three weeks to a fun day!

Okay Peter, you dodged that storm. But you won't escape my wrath if you don't register soon for the Cruise here on the 2nd.
I guarantee that you will not be sorry you attended this T Bird function. I hope that I have shamed you & Sandie into it. I will even "fix" the door prizes part so that you will "win" one. LOL
Seriously, thanks for checking in and telling us that you are alright. I know there is a great deal of damage in Volusia County and still thousands without power. And, please do give serious thought to joining us for BIRDS IN PARADISE.

Yes, this is enough!
We have had so much flooding in NC!!
The area that Libbabird lives in (she posted pics), but our area, too. On our local rivers and lakes we have homes underwater, boathouses and piers gone, boats gone.
Not sure how Brdnhand fared..they live on the lake/river.

Hey Rick, glad you fared as well as that. (liar, liar, pants on fire!!) But, I need to say THANK YOU to you and all your colleagues, at the command center, for doing all that you did for the rest of us 'civilians' out here in Hernando County, knowing full well you all had the same crap waiting for you, if your shift was ever to end. How you all dealt with all of us out here, was beyond my comprehension. As a 'new' Floridian, kudo's to you and your staff. Thank You!!!
