C'mon you TBN members, don't get caught short. If you plan to attend the WINTER Cruise, you need to get busy and register. Our friends at Spacecoast Thunderbird Club are responding. There are space limitations and I do not want any TBNers to be left out. I will be watching my mail box. Already have six cars signed up.

So sorry that you and Faye are unable to attend the WINTER Cruise. You will be sorely missed. Wish that I had known sooner, I might have been able to move the event a week or so. However, we will think about you. Hopefully, there will be another affair in the Spring and you will be free to come.

Note to the rest of you: okay, there is an empty slot for someone else. Get busy and register soon. You won't be sorry. I guarantee that you will go home with more than you had when you arrived here.

WOW! What a response. We are up to 14 cars now. Just a few slots left open. Treat yourself to a really fun time in 05. Sign up now. We are going to be the best Florida caravan yet. See the manatees, eat hearty, go home with a goodie bag and a door prize, and maybe win a fabulous raffle gift.

Out of staters, eat your heart out. We've got the fever here too.

My T
Dec 26, 2004, 11:18 PM
Can accept only 4 more cars for the Florida WINTER Cruise on Jan. 22nd. Final decisions will have to be made according to who has actually registered and enclosed a check. It is not the size of the caravan that has to be limited - - -It is the lunch accommodations. Sorry about that!

I will keep you posted on the numbers as they come in. Soon, I will publish a list of those who are planning to attend. If necessary, I will keep a stand-by list in case there are any last minute cancellations.

A Texan will be most welcome here for our WINTER Cruise. We will get information for you about a close-by hotel. There will probably be a couple of others who will be staying over Friday night because they have a distance to travel from South or West Florida. Don't worry, we will take good care of you.

We can promise you a lot more than NO HURRICANE, Sally. Just wait till you see how WE do cruises here.

There are better accommodations closer to our starting position at Panera in Lake Mary. I will get that information to you soon. About the same room rate, but much more convenient for the route that the caravan is taking this time.

Happy New Year to all!

Just logged onto TBN for the first time since before you posted the registration form, so that is why I haven't sent mine in to you sooner. I will put the check in the mail tomorrow. Looks like my wife won't be able to join me at this time unless she can switch her schedule at Dillard's! I will still plan to bring the door prizes I had previously offered to you. Glad that you can make it, Steve. Maybe you will go home with one of these great raffle prizes.

Hey Gang - - - Are you asleep? What's up?

Let's hear a little enthusiasm for this event. Don't be so laid back. This is a big deal! Get excited. What, no cheerleaders?

Check out some of the other threads and see the hoopla they put into an event. Silence may be golden, but this is not one of those occasions. Let's have a little bit of anticipation chatter.

I'm really excited that I'll be meeting some TBN members that I've not met before, and seeing old friends :pinkie: The last cruise sounded like so much fun, and once I decided to go to Pappacito's 2005, extending my trip to Florida seemed like a great idea!

Tom :poke: Any chance you can e-mail our route to me? I'm not at all familiar with that area. I'm assuming we're meeting outside of Orlando, and going to the Swanee River?

My T
Jan 11, 2005, 02:48 PM
Hi Sally -
Routes (and other instructions) will be going in the mail soon to all the cruisers. No, we are not going anywhere near the Suwanee - that is way further North and West. We are going to Orange City (near DeLand ). Much closer to Orlando. Our cruise is realtively short this time. The big fun will be after the cruise.

Hi Sal -
I thought the same thing. Although I mailed you some data yesterday (you may possibly get it tomorrow), I also e-mailed you copies which should have arrived there by now.

In any event, here are a couple of phone numbers:

Brian Lewis (Supersport) - cell 407-923-6019 (my son-in-law) and the chief navigator for the cruise. He can handle all requests for directions.

My home # is 407-671-8888

Courtyard - Lake Mary Hotel (Mariott) 407-444-1000

Panera Bread (starting point on 1/22) 407-804-8340

Blue Spring State Park - 386-775-3663

Also, at Pappasito's you will see TBN members Joe Varey and Rick Baker. They are familiar with the plans here and can advise you.

Happy travelling. Have a safe trip.

The menu is falling into place. The desserts alone will wow you. There will be FOUR (4) delicious, authentic, HOME-MADE, desserts. Yikes, what calories! If you don't like cannoli (what is wrong with you?), then you can choose a cream puff, or one of the other two choices. After that we will all need a nap.

No snoozing though - it will be time for goodie bags, silent auction, door prizes & Chinese gift exchange, and then the raffle drawing. I doubt that anyone will doze off during all that excitement.

I regret that I have to report that Sally will not be joining us on Saturday. She is having car problems (potentially serious) and is returning home to Dallas from the Pappasito's event in Georgia. She is very disappointed but sent along her best wishes to all of us for a successful cruise. Let's hope that her repairs are minor and that she can put this behind her.

The goodie bags are packed, the door prizes are wrapped, the auction items are ready, and the raffle gifts are awaiting winners. I'll see about possibly posting a picture of the tables all set for the fabulous Italian luncheon. All that reamins now is a cooking spree on Friday. The stove will really get a workout turning out close to 40 meals.

Yes, Joe. If the food is prepared properly, you will not need to add additional condiments. And don't embarrass Celina by asking me for ketchup! Go ahead, pour yourself another glass of wine. Try the Zinfandel this time. Or, perhaps, the Cabernet Sauvignon.

Thanks for the compliment. You are too kind. I do try.

I pray that you are right about the weather. There is a cold front arriving Saturday night (rain & wind) and the temperatures will drop down close to freezing by Sunday morning. Lets hope that it does not come early. I am still counting on Saturday morning to be very pleasant.

I added TWO cars to replace Sally. So we are up to 21 cars!!!

There you go. The master meteorologist has spoken. Take heed and do as you're told. TOP DOWN on Saturday. Hooray for the weather gods - looks like it be an ideal day.

At this rate we could have eaten outside in the gardens. Too late though - the table settings are complete.

Its getting closer and closer. On Friday you will be able to smell the garlic, basil and oregano in the air escaping from the kitchen here. I can already pick up the scent of the rum in the dessert.
