SA Meet & Greet Update:
My friend in Helotes is very sick with some sort of virus. Visiting with her was the reason for my trip, so I guess the Meet & Greet will have to wait for an alternate date. Maybe we can do it with more notice, and get more folks to join us. Charles, I'm disappointed not to be meeting you this weekend. I never was able to contact Larry or Jim.
Hello to all our members in the San Antonio area :wavey:
I'm going to be in Helotes this weekend, and wondered if you would like to get together? Saturday afternoon would be great for me, and if there are no other ideas for a place, my friend owns Villarreal's Icehouse on Bandera Hwy. Plenty of parking, and COLD beer! If you would prefer another location, CARTOY and I are open to suggestions :pinkie: and a cruise would be even better!

Claire & I will be in Dallas 1/13-17/05, the same time you folks are in Georgia. Bummer. But we'll catch up with you for Tom's Winter Cruise on the 22nd, and we'll see the rest of you in May, in Tennessee.

Hello Sally:
I just completed registration for this forum and need some info from someone
and in hopes you might be able to help. Do you know if there is a local T-Bird club or chapter in the San Antonio or Austin area? If so please advise me how to contact. I just bought a new 2004 Bird in September and would like to become part of a local T-Bird club.
Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance,
Jim

Hi Jim :wavey:
I'm so glad to hear form a new Texas Chapter of TBN member!
As far as I know there are three other members in San Anotonio. They are ChiefsRedTBird, JBird, and LarryG.
Kokomo is in Austin.
I don't know of any specific Thunderbird Clubs in that area, but I did meet with a great general car club in New Braunfels a couuple of years ago. If you're interested in that club, send me a pm and I'll try to get you a contact.
We decided that three Birds constitute a Flock, so decide on a place, and time, start a thread in the Texas Chapter, and see what happens! Are you only interested in the New Birds? Let me know if I can be of help.
Dot, do you know of any Thunderbird clubs in San Antonio, or Austin?

Hi again Sal:
I do so appreciate your prompt response to my inquiry re: T-Bird club in San Antonio-Austin area. Also thanks for the welcome to TBN. Looks like I will monitor TBN on a regular basis for events that might be going on around my area.
I am familiar with the car club in New Braunfels but they are mainly into classics of all makes and my 2004 is sort of out of character in that arena. I was a member of that club when I had a '68 Camaro 427 but sold the car and did not renew membership in the club. They were a very nice group of people and enjoyed being a member of their club, but I would feel out of place with a non classic car belonging to their club.
Again, many thanks for responding.

There was a group and the contacts were out of Canyon Lake. Don't know
if it is still active... Thought there were a couple of groups in the area

The Canyon Lake area is beautiful! Also Historic Greene. If anyone wants to meet/greet anywhere around there, I'm in! I often go to Wimberly to visit relatives. GREAT scenic drives!
