Let's get the year off to a great start. :pinkie: :bouncy: :pinkie:

All depends on the weather. If it's going to rain -- no way, if not, I'll be there this year.

Just a reminder for all those going. :bouncy: Every TBN member that shows up at Fitchburg, with a "new Bird", will have the opportunity to vote on a car they like the best. A TBN Medallion to be awarded to the one that gets the most votes. :smokin:
This is our third annual get together and look forward to your attendance.

Dino,
I am planning to go. My 5year old, Grant, will be riding shotgun. He is stoked about it. Keeps asking me when it is we are going.
So unless we have a foot of snow or torrential rains, I should be there.

Hi Dino,
Fitchburg is not very far from the Canadian border, and I was talking to 2fast4u about going to the show.
Are there any activities, at what time should we plan on getting there, are there formalities to fill.
April 17th is still early in the season for us, depending on the weather. Last year, took the Bird out on Apr10th, It looks good this year, not too much snow, but so much salt on the roads the pavement is white.
If we can, there would be two of us. Two cars, four people.

Serge,
The show is set to run from 7 am to 12 noon on the 17th (rain or shine). It is a one day event, so It may be a long way for you to come (though we'd love to have you both!) There are no special forms to fill out, you just pay $5.00 at the gate. We usually all meet and drive to the show in caravan so that we can park together. If you do decide that you want to come down, I'll give you the time and directions to our meeting spot.
It is one of the larger car shows and automobilia flea markets in our area, and for the past two years has been the first gathering of local TBN members each season. This year I beleive we are planning on all heading out for a lunch after the show. Let us know what you decide.

Hi Dino
Thank you for your reply, we had expected to get there around 11:00hrs.
If we decide to go, where should we reserve to sleep on saturday? there is no way I would leave here a 2 AM to get there by 7.
I like to ride the bird during daylight, and if over 60, top down...
Or maybe, if we got there around noon, and just go to lunch with you guys.
I will talk to Claude and let you know.

Just in case we do have people who may stay over the night before, I will stop at the Hotel (where you meet) next week to see if I can get a decent rate. I'll post it here
Also heard from Bob Andersen. He will try to make it, but does not yet know. I asked him to post here when he knows. Also been in contact with Ray, (rag2) from New Bedford, MA. Hopefully we'll here from him soon as well.
Just sent TBIRDY (Patti) a PM too

Sal,
If you can make it, take the ferry from Port Jeff to Bridgeport, CT. it's much quicker the driving it. Once in Bridgeport, you could meet up with us and caravan to MA. Check on the ferry schedule, I plan on leaving around 6:30 am.

Hi!...I'm interested in going with Serge ( G1GRANDGALLOP ) depending on the weather. If the cars get dirty during the trip, I suppose we could always find a car wash to get then clean before entering the show...
I would probably come down with my hardtop installed on the car since I would like to trade it for a black one...If someone is interested, we switch tops, and that's it!...

I went out to Fitchburg today and stopped at the Four Points Sheradon for a room rate. Since we do not have a count I could not commit to a block of rooms. Therefore the rate would be $109. Across the street is a Super 8 Motel that would probably be less expensive and not as nice.

For anyone interested in joining us on April 17th, allow me to clarify a few things to help you make a decision.
Over the past few weeks you may have noticed TBN members from different areas of the U.S. meeting and getting together for lunch/dinner etc. Most recently it was the Jersey Birds. (even though they haven't decided on a name yet)
Well, three years ago four of us (TBN'ers) did the same, except we met at a local car show that I also happen host. It is a rather large show with 500+ cars and 300+ vendors. The TBirds came in together and therefore parked together amongst the show cars.
We met, spent time together, and cruised the fields and airstrips looking at the Antique, Custom, Hot Rods and Classic cars and trucks. As well as searching for items of interest from vendors like automobilia, petrolinia and toys and posters.
Last year we did it again for the second year and we had nine new Birds show up. This year we hope to do it a little different:
A) We expect to get 18 new Birds there and caravan in to be able to stay together. I'd like to see a lot more than that. Of course our core people from year 1 have already comitted to be there.
B) Certainly we hope that there are a lot more TBN'ers there to meet this year, our Third.
C) Then of course, at your leisure, you can feel free to browse around the fields as well.
D) There are food vendors there to help you through the day if you need them as well as rest rooms. Including handicap facilities.
E) If anyone is coming a great distance, there is a Sheraton Fout Points hotel overlooking the airport, and without a commitment, the rates are $109.00 per night.
F) If there are enough people that want help with QAA chrome installations, I have asked a member of QAA if he would like to help us. He agreed and he would be on his own time of course, so you would have top pay him for this option.
G) This year we are planning to leave around 2PM and caravan to a restaurant for late lunch early dinner, before everyone departs for home. One of our members will be arranging that, but we'll need to get a headcount in early April so as to be all together.
H) Finally we have decided that any TBN'er without a grille medallion will be elligible to win one. Those cars would be peer judged and who knows, maybe someone there will offer to install it for the winner as well.
I hope this helps you make a decision. Gee, maybe the Jersey Birds want to make the trip. Micamaven, from NY has been in touch with me and may be able to hook up with the CT group on his way up.
Any questions, just ask, and thanks for reading :wavey:

Where's TonyV007? He had posted on another thread that he wanted an event closer than TN and Thunder Fever...... Here we are Tony, come join us. :wavey: RustyFrye says your 45 minutes closer to us then him :bouncy:
Dino; I sent a note to nepsra (Ken) this AM to see if he can make it. Wes and I met them at the Portsmouth, NH show last June. He did say if the Stocks weren't running in CT he may make it.
OlDave said many months ago that he may be in Upstate NY that time of year....anyone here from him?? You out there Dave?
The Andersons are a possibility as well
Since we're getting close, I'd like to keep this thread going.

My girlfriend and I are really looking forward to go to Fitchburg...We just hope the weather is going to be nice, if not, I'm staying here!! I'm probably going to meet with Serge (G1GRANDGALLOP) somewhere along the route, and we'll follow each other to the show.
One thing I'm concerned with though...Is there going to be a place where we'll be able to wash our cars before entering the show? We'll be travelling several hundred miles, so the cars are likely to get a little dusty while coming down...:bawl:
Thank for your replies...
Claude.
P.S:...one last detail....we don't know where we'll sleep!...

Feb 19, 2005, 02:50 PM
Well, I've gone back and added everyone's name that has posted here. If our Canadian friends to the north and our New Yorkers from the south can make it, we should have 14 cars. Not too bad considering we only had 2 on our first gathering in '03. At this growth rate, who knows we might top Thunder Fever in a few years!!!

I will be coming with my girlfriend, but I a few things are not clear for me...:puzzled:
->First, Where is everybody supposed to meet before going in caravan to the show? :help: !
->Second, where exactly is the show held??
-> Is there a place to wash our cars?? :puzzled:
I'm asking this because if I'm not there in time to join the caravan, at least I'll know where to go, or what questions to ask people so I can get some directions...
Thanks for your replies!
Claude.
P.S: If someone wants to trade a black top for my blue one, I'll be there with the top on my car...so let me know if interested...

Hi Claude,
The show is held at the Fitchburg (Massachusetts) Airport right on the airfield. We meet in the parking lot of the Four Points Sheraton Hotel which is just South of the field then caravan together into the show. If anyone is late--go to the Sheraton anyway--as you can see the airport from there and it should be obvious how to drive in on your own from that point.
Address for the Sheraton is:
Four Points By Sheraton
99 Erdman Way
Leominster, MA 01453
tel: 978-534-9000
To get there it's:
Route 2 west and get off at exit 31B
bear right on the exit ramp onto North Main St
then look for signs to the Hotel on your right
I'm sure there is a do-it-yourself carwash somewhere on North Main. I will check to find out exactly where it is.
We are all planning to caravan to a restuarant for dinner after the show. That was talked about on another thread. Check that out at:
http://www.thunderbirdnest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7467
George said that the room rates for the Sheraton Four Points were around $109 US for a night. If anyone is planning to come early and stay over before the show I'd be glad to organize something to do the day before the show as I am only 40 miles away.
Who wants to show up early and get together the day before the Show?

OK, let me reply to many of the previous posts here:
Tony and John - We would welcome you guys joining us. I'm from Greenwich, CT originally so to answer your question, how many hours from the border? I'd say about 4 hours. Dino is in Portland, CT, about 1 1/2 hrs away, and if you could make it there and caravan in, that may break up the trip for you guys. I think Sal from Shirley, NY is meeting him there as well.
Chuck - This is our 35th year holding this event. We know it is a risky time of the year, but only once did we have "r@#n", so please don't jinx us. We just don't talk about it. Be good to see you again! :wavey:
Rich, (N1NC3) - If you are close, you too may want to hook up with Dino or Chuck. We look forward to meeting you as well
Claude and Serge - It would be exciting if you all could make it. I realize it is a long trip to make. Back in your post #19 you asked about sleeping. There are two hotels real close by. Super 8 and Four Points. See Bird 03 posting with his offer. Without a set number of rooms $109. is the best we can do. But probably on line you could get the Super 8 cheaper.
I will check before the show to see if there is a car wash close by. If it's just dust, don't worry, we understand.
If you want to see what goes on that day, see my post #23.
If you want, and it would make it more comfortable for you, we can all share cellular numbers before the 17th just to stay in touch.
If you could not meet at the hotel and come in directly I can send you directions, just PM me your email address.
Black top swap? Although I have a Black top I do not want to swap. However, we could swap for pictures if you like.
You can see the airport from the hotel lot but the drive around to the entrance is about 2 miles. I hope this answers any outstanding questions, if not let me know.
---------------- M E R G E D ---------------
I just did a search for lodging. The link below shows three. The closest two are Four Points which was $109 and Super 8. I checked their rates on this web site and it's between $53 - $69 and right across the street from the Four Points Hotel. By the way, they're in Leominster which is directly on the border of Fitchburg Airport, Exit 31. Link:

Claude & Dino and any new member that needs a nametag, :eureka: wherever you are:
I can still get nametags. These are 1/2" X 4" with a TBird on silver backing with a name of your choice. They are held in place by dual magnets, so no damage to your clothing. I can post pictures when I get home tonight. So far those of us that have these have used our proper names as opposed to our "handles" here on TBN. But, if anyone wants one I would need to start collecting the names for all of those who want one. Members and wives etc. The cost two years ago was $12.50 each so I would try to get them for the same cost if possible. Note: These were made from the same artwork that was made the TBN grille medallions, that JerryP was gracious enough to share, so the TBird is the same. :smokin:

''MATBird'', it's not that your idea is bad, just that I think something more simple like a little piece of paper or cardboard with our names written on them would get the job done and would cost much less to make...( at least not $12.50)!...Because after a while, we'll know each other and we won't really need them anymore...I'd rather use that $12.50 for lunch, soft drinks or just anything else...The nametag's use is more to introduce ourselves to each other and put a name on each face...so this is why I think that the simpler would be better!...( Just my opinion though...)

All the ice cream you can handle!
- ice cream cocktails

- ice cream desert
- and of course ice cream snacks
So Rusty come on up and bring your "no name" gang with you.

I will be coming without my hardtop mostly because I don't use my hardtop since I only drive my bird in good weather and prefer to drive it top down. Also, I have a new leather boot to show folks. Part of the deal of these events is to show each other any mods we may have added since the last gathering.

No suppliers at this point. However, if you have any QAA parts that you may want put on, like rocker panels, etc. I have asked a QAA employee if he would come out and do installs on the field. Of course each person would be responsible to pay for this service, and of course buy ahead of time and bring their parts with them.

This is shaping up quite nicely. If it all goes well, looks like we will easily beat last year's attendance. Will be nice to meet new Birdies as well as the wonderful ones I met last year. I cant wait to speak with Bruce, the master of mods. George there is another Steve in Milford NH that attended last year, he had the red canadian 02. I'll check my home e-mail for his addr and fire him a note off to see if he might attend again. Of course it is going to snow again tomorrow, but still hoping for that warm, sunny, spring day on Apr 17.

Czar Bird (Steve):
Yes it is shaping up nicely. I just hope that everyone will be able to meet at the hotel in Fitchburg in the morning and come in together. Just so we can all park together, like last year. You may recall, with 500+ show cars there's no way I can reserve an area for just our Birds, so it's best to meet and caravan in.
Also Steve, that members name from Milford, NH is Steve O'Leary, known here as soleary. So if you cannot find him in a phone book, you could email or PM from his user cp. I emailed Steve with my notice back in January with the others, but quite frankly, don't recall if he responded. I'm glad your going to contact him. If he's coming, please post here so Dino can update the list in post #1 above.
Claude, not sure at this point what the charge would be but based upon watching him do my car, it was real quick, so it may not be all that much. I'll try to get an answer from him. Those parts should travel ok if you just put them across the top of your luggage after the trunk is packed. As long as there's no pressure on them it should be fine.

On another subject:
I'm still pressing the installer from QAA for install prices. But, on the other hand he needs to know how many and what he would be installing. So please post or PM me what you need done. The more we have the lower the cost should be. So far, I only have one install for 1 set rockers and 1 set door sills :smokin: and possibly Claude will bring his deck moldings if he knows the cost, so please let me know. :tightspot NOTE: The installer cannot bring the items with him so you must have bought them in advance and have them with you.

I doubt if I'll be able to make it up there for this event, but if I do will I need to buy a fire extinguisher again? I returned the one I bought for Hebert Candy Mansion. Rusty   No, no fire extinguishers required here. I think that was a Mustang club rule.
BTW, our space is many times larger than the Hebert grounds. No comparison. One runway holds about 500 cars and the balance are on grass just off the runway.

Rich -- That's absolutely horrible news. I certainly hope you can get your Bird fiixed on time, for the show. However, our meeting is about people as well, so feel free to join us with your regular car. The only difference would be that you would have to park with the spectators and bring your chairs down to the show car parking area.
Bruce -- I still do not have the cost of labor from the installer at QAA. I think he's dragging his feet since you may be the only one (possibly Claude too) that wants this service. If so, he may not come at all. I'll keep after him, but it would be nice if others wanted parts installed. Maybe you can head that campaign.
Tony -- You hurt my feelings  asking if I joined yet. Ref. your post above.

I am only trying to help, but for parts ordering, Please, you need to be just as specific as if ordering. Use their number and/or description. I am not faniliar with either and would not be able to answer their questions if asked. Let's make it fool proof.
Example: Side trim to me means the chrome strip along the top of the doors. To others it may mean something else. Other items are self explanitory.
Finally, since we'll have members from Canada and 6 States, they would prefer cash as opposed to checks. I would hope that's not a problem.

I want to stay longer at least to make the travelling distance and time worth it...I doubt the show will be over by that time and that everybody will be gone, and also, it'll be too early for supper...Just my opinion though...and after the show, Serge and I are going to have to hit the road for a few hours to get back home...

Mar 28, 2005, 07:56 PM
Claude,
That's fine. Everyone should enjoy themselves at these events and get exactly what they want out of their experiences.
The leaving time from the show was calculated to be a middle of the road compromise. The earliest cars to depart the show start out around 1:30pm and there won't be many cars left there past 3:30pm. Leaving at 2:30pm gives us time to get to the restaurant, have a meal, and then have 3 hours of daylight left to drive home.
It also gives us a chance to drive to the restaurant in a long caravan of T Birds. Caravans don't happen very often for us as we usually just meet each other at the shows and just go our separate ways when it is over.
I'm just trying to plan out the logistics of a weekend with enough options to keep everyone happy and certainly not everyone is going to be doing everything. Just have fun.

Thanks for answering Claudes question. You are correct about the 2:30 time schedule. After a full day walking the fields, viewing the many antique and custom cars and meeting fellow TBN'ers, it will be nice to have a send off dinner so people will be able to get on the road during some daylight hours for a safe trip home.
Back on post #10 Dino had said the show runs until noon. Actually, we advertise it as noon but that only means that we take money at the gate until noon. Certainly the vendors and the cars are there longer.

Since the hotel parking and access road are high above the airport. If anyone has a wide angle lensed camera with optical zoom? You could probably get an (almost) aerial shot of the field in the morning as the field is filling up with cars, vendors and spectators.
I've had no takers for more nametags and it's too late now anyway...but according to Dinos previous posts, he's bringing paper ones.
Wes: I see your keeping up and modifying that dinner list.
Reading Tonyv's posts on other threads, he's going top be in Myrtle Beach, so he won't be joining us
Finally, anyone locally in MA/NH, etc. that is planning to caravan in from the hotel, please post your intentions so Dino will know when everyone is there and ready. He'll probably have a cutoff time anyway.

For anyone coming out of NY, NJ or CT and wanting to caravan up to the Sheraton together, I will be leaving the Hartford area at approx. 5:30 pm. If you like, I could find a spot along RT84 east or the Mass Pike (RT 90 east) where we could all meet on the way up. Respond back to this post if interested.

Yes, I should have nametags for everyone (including significant others).
George is correct, we need to plan on "dust off" at 8:30 am on Sunday. Any one not staying overnight Saturday and going directly to the Sheraton on Sunday should plan on being there by that time (let me know who you are so I'll know who to look for). We will depart the hotel at 8:45 so we can make our arrival around 9:00.

Just be aware that Dino is driving up to Fitchburg later in the afternoon because Susan is working that day. Bruce and I plan to be at the Sheraton earlier at 3:00pm for check in. They have an indoor pool there and I plan to use it that afternoon.

I have a question ...I want to have a pinstripe done on my T-Bird...Does anybody know if it will be possible to find a good ''pinstriper'', or have one to come at the Fitchburg show?...I already know what I want to be done on my car, and maybe it will give the idea to some other t-bird enthusiast to get some done on their cars...! :eureka:
If someone here knows one, maybe you could convince him to come ??...
I'm asking this because sometimes, these guys attend car shows and do some of the exhibitor's cars...

I guess I'm a little lost....we are leaving on Saturday morning I figure we will get into bridgeport around 11am. That should still leave us enough time to drive up and get to the hotel way before check in time. But I'm lost on where everyone is meeting or if they are at all on Saturday. I see the leaving the show at 2 on Sunday and having a dinner before we drive home and thats all good with me. But will anyone be going through CT or do we have a time to meet in Mass. on Saturday evening?

Hi Sal,
Mapquest says 2hrs 30min driving time from Bridgeport to Fitchburg so you should be there by 1:30pm. Check in time at the Four Points Sheraton is not until 3:00pm so I will meet you (and I assume John because I think he's driving up with you) in the parking lot at the Sheraton and we can caravan out somewhere close by to get a snack. Then return to the Sheraton for check in, pool, happy hour, etc.
At 8:00pm Saturday night, we will caravan from the Sheraton out to dinner at the Old Mill restaurant.
On Sunday, we will check out and then leave the Sheraton at 8:45am to caravan into the show. We will leave the show at 2:00pm to caravan out to dinner at Barber's Crossing. After that everyone will leave for home from there.
Hope this clears things up.
Bruce and Rich,
Let me know if you want to meet us at 1:30pm on Saturday at the Sheraton so we can look for you, otherwise we'll see you at the pool later on.
Note:
Although the Four Points Sheraton is right next to the Fitchburg Airport it is actually in Leominster, Ma. Anyone trying to Mapquest directions should use Leominster as the location.
If anyone else is thinking of joining us, rooms are still available at the Four Points Sheraton (AAA/AARP rate is $103.00 plus taxes).

Do you have clear driving instructions to the Sheraton?
Wes: Even though check in is at 3PM, sometimes they let you in earlier.
If you look down on the field (airport Saturday) you'll see us setting up and laying out the field until 2-3PM.....I may drift over to the hotel before I leave for home in case you guys are hanging around the lobby/rooms.

For all of those who have not been to Fitchburg, here's some tips:
Bring hats and/or sunscreen, there's no shade on the fields or runways.
Bring chairs, you'll get tired of walking around and want some TBird chit chat
There will be a food vendor there but if you have a cooler, no problem
Windbreaker, in case it's cool. There's always a breeze there
Bring your rags, cloths, wax and other detail equipment
Show off time....I'm bringing my 36" TBird script plaque and Dino's 30" Script. Bruce should have his new boot and who knows what else, new, he'll have. Anyone have other items that may be unique? Finally, Claude should bring his deck strip for installation.
Last call for any QAA parts...I'll be contacting them on Monday to bring Bruce's Rockers and Door Sills, Micamaven's side Accent trim. I'll need your input. Remember, this would save shipping costs for you all.
Any other input, for the list of things to bring, from people that have been there, would be appreciated, please post. :smokin:

Well, this weekend was a great success! It turned out better then I'd hoped for. Not only did we have 17 of our own member's Birds, but "captured" another 3 or 4 as they came in. My guess is we'll see them as new members here soon. As John has already stated, good times with good people made for an extremely enjoyable experience.
I would like to thank MATBird (George) and Bird03 (Wes) for organizing this event for us. My hat's off to both of you.
Thanks to micamaven (John) and Salprint (Sal) for coming up from NY, and a special thanks to 2FAST4U (Claude) and G1GRANDGALLOP (Serge) for making the six hour trip from Canada.
George donated a TBN grill badge to be awarded to one lucky owner who did not already have one. Each owner cast a vote for their own personal choice. Below is a picture of George and the proud winner...
Congratulations Claude!!!
I'm already looking forward to our next event!

Thanks John, micamaven, for posting those pictures, I'm sure there will be more coming.
Dino, blue heaven, thank you for posting Claudes award and your kind words.
Here's a quick summary
Estimated show cars 700 - Estimated attendance 5500. Final numbers by the 28th.
Weather in the mid to high 70's, not a cloud in the sky
Most Tbirds in our line at one time 17. Some came and went, non-members - There were others elsewhere on the field and I believe they were hunted down and given TBN cards
QAA was kind enough to provide an employee, Ivan, to install their parts on our cars on Sunday. He arrived with parts that were pre-ordered and almost enough extra parts for others, that changed their minds once they saw the difference in appearance on the cars. What is unique here, is that QAA is a manufacturer for distributors, but over the past year they have done a lot for our New Bird owners. It's probably unheard of for company of this sort to go out and actually do installs, but we have a very special association with them and everyone appreciated this part of the day.
Wes, Bird03, made arrangements for dinner Saturday night and than led a caravan of TBirds to the restaurant. Then again at the end of the day Sunday, he had reservations for a late lunch early dinner prior to people getting on the road for their return trip home. Another caravan. Thanks for everything Wes, Great job!
Thanks to Dino and Susan for providing nametags for everyone and placards for our windshields.
Almost everyone came with their wife, significant other or someone else. So the following is a list by TBN name of attendees, since most of ust recognize them by that name:
MATBird - George
Bird03 - Wes
Blue Heaven - Dino and Susan
Bruce - Kirsten
Chuck - Chuck and his son Charles
Austingoodan - Austin and his wife
Czar bird - Steve
2Fast4U - Claude and his wife - Congratulations on winning the TBN medallion
G1GRADNGALLOP - Serge and his wife
blackbird - Barry
micamaven - John and Debbie
Grey Thunder - Kevin
Salprint - Sal and Jo
2bluebird03 - Dick
nepsra - Ken
N1NCZ - Rich and Ann
Roy Schulte and his wife. Forgive me Roy I don't recall your TBN name.
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR JOINING US - IT WAS GREAT
tonyv007 and the Gypsey Thunderbirds, you missed your first opportunity to make a grand showing as a group!!!!! Some of your members were there, weren't we Bruce? :smokin:

Wanted to say thanks to all. Was nice to see everyone again, for those I met for the 1st time, look forward to seeing you in June. My son & I had a great time. Charles couldn't stop talking about it. He said to me last night "we have to figure out a way so that Ben (his brother) doesn't get to go to Portsmith" What a success, even mother nature cooperated, maybe a bit too much, got a wicked sun burn. Excellent time!!

Just arrived at work and finally have a chance to sit down and post. We didn't get home until about 10:30 last night. But what a great time we had. Met good people had lots of laughs and seeing all the Tbirds together was awesome. Hope to do it again sometime. And Wes....sorry if I was a little overly loud about my Yankees....But even with all those championships, last year was hard to swallow. You were a good sport and you gave it right back to me. Just wish I would have taken a picture of you and me together with our shirts on, it would get a lot of laughs from my friends here at home. Hope to see you all again someday.

I want to say I had a great time. It was nice seeing friends I met last year and meeting new friends this year. We far surpassed the 9 cars we had last year and I have to say having 16-18 cars lined up, attracted attention. Thanks Dino and Sue for the nametags. Grant, "lil czar-bird", showed his mom when we arrived home.
John and Deb, that Yankees license plate was a hit, NOT, I heard some passer-bys say,
"What' with the Yankee's." Your a brave couple displaying your pride in Sox country.
It was really was nice to have met both of you.
Claude, lots of positive comments on those fender skirts from spectators!
QAA thanks for allowing me to try out the tail light bezels. They looked good on my Whisper White and I believe I will be ordering some and take advantage of the 10% show discount.
Finally, I hope all returned home safely and may we do this again.
PS. Grant fell asleep within the first mile on the way home.

Hi everyone...My girlfriend (Claude) and I had a safe trip back home and got here at about 8:00 P.M. with nothing but good words and memories of the great weekend we just spent...!
Everyone gave us a warm welcome and we immediately felt part of the group ...
I would like to say a big ''THANK YOU'' to everyone especially George (MATBird) who voted for my car, allowing me to win a grille badge...It was really nice and appreciated! :first:...By the way, the badge is already installed on my car!
Also a big thank you to Wes who helped me to remove my hardtop so the QAA man (Ivan) could install my rear deck strips, and helped me again to put it back on the car once the job was done...Thanks Wes!
While looking at Ivan who was installing some door sill plates on another member's car, I asked him to install some on my car and they look just great! My friend Serge had some installed on his white Bird also...He and his wife Nicole were great to travel with...
Again thanks , Claude & Claude
P.S: John (micamaven), could you please send me the info about the stainless steel dash kit manufacturer we spoke about?...thanks!

Hi...it's me (Claude) again :wavey: with a question about a black T-Bird that was at Fitchburg this weekend...
I'm not sure who's car it was, but there was a nice black T-Bird with a ''V8'' emblem on the front fenders that I was told came from a Ford Explorer...( maybe it was George's car??...)
Anyway, here's my question: What model year of Ford Explorer is that emblem from ?? I would like to get some for my car, but I need to know what year so I can ask the parts man at my Ford dealer...Thanks!

Reprogramming Update
This is for all those who indicated they had an interest in improving proformance by tuning the PCM through the Xcalibrator. Well as I indicated at Fitchburg the local distributors do not have the program for the T-bird and are not willing to get it unless they have a lot of interest.
That is where we left off and now for further information:
I talk on Monday to SCT direct and explained the situation and that there is a local distributor that we would like to work with but does not have the program. They in turn told me that they will structure some kind of deal for the data programs. Sounded good to me so I thanked them then called the local distributor, Mike Des Racing. I tlked to the owner "Mike" and explained the whole situation and conversation I had with SCT. Mike interest was clearly peaked and we decided he would talk to SCT and make arrangements to get the data. Then by the end of the week we would set up an appointment to dyno, install the Xcalibrator and do the tuning. This will give him a baseline for what would need to be done and how long it will take. He would then be willing to do multiple Birds up to 4 or 5 on a given day. With all the Dyno, Xcalibrator, etc. he estimated about $500.00 per Bird but will know better after we do my Bird.
Note to Dino: Before you can get your Bird tuned we will race across the streetat Seekonk Speedway.
More information later.

Hey Bruce, I call a shop in Concord NH and they do not have the T-Bird program. I would be interested in being one of the 4 or 5 birds geting programed. It would be a nice ride down, maybe do lunch, then hopefully a snappier ride home.
