WooHoo!! If the concept becomes reality, watchout! Nice to see the idea fleshed out. Love the hood, engine treatment, and the wheels but wonder about the interior... We'll see...

Took the words right out of my mouth Terry!

Future is looking good! Did you notice
the V-8 emblem on the engine?
It's from the 02 Explorer... I wish they had
used this emblem on the 03's... Much more
"retro"...

WOW!!!! How are we going to "manage the wait" for that beauty?

I'll take it....with a different color interior.

By the way, did you notice the brushed aluminum center stack?

They keep teasing us and then saying it cannot be done. Hmmmm.

Autoweek magazine today talks about a new Ford Concept the "427" labeled after the old engine CID tag. Car looks like a Galaxie to me with with a modified Triton V 10. I fugured it was just a matter of time before someone did an engine transplant out of an Excursion into a Focus, anyway. Lots of cool niche cars, but I'd like to see some market makers and have the stock price go up!!

:music:...in a Silver Thunderbird:music:

pictures are better than the one on the Detroit News site yesterday.

don't know that I care for that yellow/orange interior :nono: - silver needs a better color than that.

They call the interior color Chamois, Maybe the photos dont do it justice. Looks Mustard to me,tho. They say includes a lockable hard tonneau? Just fabric "looking", I guess. Easier read text at BON:Blue Oval news discusses it here (http://www.blueovalnews.com/2003/concepts/tbird_supercharged010203.htm) .

NICE!!!! Thank you Yelobird 2002 for posting the link.

I wonder what the sticker will be on that Bird. Another thing I am thinking about is how long it will be before they sell these superchargers and performance chips for our cars as aftermarket. As long as there is not any modifications outside of bolt-on, I would consider installing them.

Great looking car, but they sure need to fire the interior designers.

Wow, I like that one too. I think maybe in some better light the interior might be acceptable. Some of the pics are nice with the interior but full interior shot does leave something to be desired. I would love to see it in person.
Geez. I'd have all the cops on my tail doing the n/s run on rt95 or RT 81

The "Colonel Mustard" Interior. They can't be serious. Why would they take a great looking car and turn it into a 'Hoopty" at the factory? This confounds me.

I knew this car would look good in silver! The modifications are cool, especially the hood and engine. The interior bites, needs to be black or charcoal where the Col. Mustard yellow is now.

I don't know if anyone else has made the connection yet but I just noticed that the wheels on this concept are pretty close to the top design picked on my wheel fantasies page (http://www.geocities.com/thenewtbird/Wheels2.html)

Did someone from Ford pay attention to my site?

Looks Sharp, But that interior has to go (Yuk!).... oh well they cant win them all!

The wheels are especially nice - they remind me a lot of the '67 t-bird caps.......

I took the below paragraph directly as a cut/paste from the
original link:

Ford’s supercharged Thunderbird concept is joined on the company’s 2003 LA Auto Show display by two other customized Thunderbird cars. The Thunderbird Chip Foose edition, first shown at the 2002 SEMA Show, features a “cut-down” speedster windscreen, custom interior and other major restyling modifications. The Thunderbird Roy Brizio edition, also shown at the 2002 SEMA Show, includes unique front, side and rear styling enhancements in a dark green metallic paint color.

Notice the LAST sentence: "Thunderbird Roy Brizio edition in
dark green metallic". Now this is one color I think the Tbird
would look fantastic in! Wonder if any pics are available?

When I ordered my Red & White back in November of 2000, I asked the dealer if they were going to have a dark green, before I said Red & White. I think the green would be a great color.
